Terrific! I'm so happy for you!!!
I work in mammography and always tell my patients they should treat themselves to something nice when they're all done. They usually think I mean something like ice cream or dinner out. I think of a treat like vacation/Disney cruise!

Congrats on your anniversary and on finishing treatment! That's awesome! What a great way to celebrate!

Thank you both for the good wishes! Today was the halfway point on the treatments, and things are getting interesting- but I have the cruise to look forward to now!

I learned on our 2nd trip to WDW not to ask dh about anything when it comes to getting a good deal. I do ask his input about where to stay or if it's something extreme like getting to our home airport at midnight, things like that but that's where it ends.



On a side note, I've been following the thread for the June 2-nt sailing also (posted there to request someone post their Navigators upon returning) and sounds like a few have gotten upgrades. I'm hoping for some pixie dust on our sailing as well.

Hi all. I am the one travelling with Michael who is doing the lanyards.

This will be my 35th Disney cruise. I think about 28 for Michael.

This year our group is doing all four ships. This will be my third ship. Did the Fantasy maiden voyage, just got off Hawaii on the Wonder, doing the Magic July 13th and then the Dream in November.

Michael is currently in New York getting ready to board the Magic tomorrow for the inaugural voyage to Canada. I was going to go, but had to back out, thus the reason I am going on this one, so I can get my "Magic" in 2012.

Michael is staying on after the 5 night to Canada and will be on the first two night cruise next weekend out of New York. He told me on the phone last week that Pirate night is the first night and told me I had to bring my pirate stuff.

As soon as he gets off the ship I'll be sure to ask him what happened on the two night.

If there are any specific questions, post away and I will have him answer.

I will get his paypal email account for the person who wanted to send in some money towards lanyards.

I agree on not doing FE, not enough time on this cruise.

Glad to see you are going as well. Decided to do this one last minute so I could get the Magic in as well. When in November are you going on the Dream? I'm going Nov 18th.

Just signing in here glad to see there are going to be no FE's-too short!

I will be bringing DH-Ray and DS-Michael. My other 2 boys are in Taiwan for the summer with my mom.
BTW-everyone loved the scrapbook from Hawaii. Don't know if you heard, but my camera got stolen from LAX the day I was leaving, so gradually getting pics from fellow DISers and waiting on my friend Debbie to get me CD's.

Ds12 & I are booked on this cruise!
We are so excited to be back on the Magic. This will be our 11th Disney cruise but haven't been on the Magic for a while and we sooo miss her. We were originally going to do the Aug 25 8 nt but ended up switching to Alaska and it's killing me to not somehow sail from NYC while she's here!
Ds12 just LOVES the simulator in Edge which they don't have on the Dream. By luck we snagged an 11C that wasn't GTY so he's happy to be on deck 2 right down the hall from Edge.
I've never sailed without all 4 of us together so it will be strange but I can't wait. I had a dummy date (onboard booking) that I tried to change to this cruise but was also told no perks for these cruises.

I also heard there will not be a pirate party or fireworks. I can't recall where I read that.
I'd love to know what shows are playing in the WD Theater. We're hoping for Twice Charmed and Disney Dreams. They're our favs and never get tired of seeing them.
To the pp who mentioned sailing on Friday the 13: We sailed the Dream over Easter break and ds15 said, "Do you realize we're sailing on Friday the 13th, in the Bermuda Triangle, on the 100th anniversary of the Titanic sinking?"
We all had a good chuckle and decided it must be good luck because it was an awesome cruise, one of our best ever!

I've got my scrapbook completed up to Hilo. Now on to Maui. If you need some pictures of anything specific let me know. I could always bring a CD of photos to you on July 13th

Didnt see anything posted here.... so here goes, the June 2 night sailing forum is reporting that there is a Pirate Party on Friday night. Some have said that it is on the website. But I havent been able to locate anything.

I did ask them all to post next week after they return so we know what to expect. 1 month left !!! I cant wait !!!

It looks like we are all sailing in July together. We are a group of 13. We consist of three brothers and their families.

My name is Kim and my DH is Dave, he is the middle brother. We have a DD (17) and a DS (15). This will be our 8th Disney cruise.

The oldest brother is Ed and his wife is Mary. They have three children, a DD (17), another DD (15) and a DS (13). They have sailed twice before with DCL.

The youngest brother is Steve and his wife is Darlene. They have two DD ages 11 & 9. They are new to cruising and we are hoping to get them hooked on Disney Cruising.

I have signed up for the lanyard and would like to contribute to offset the cost. However, I am just not sure how to do that. I have to try and figure out how to access his PayPal site. Any directions would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I have Couples Massage scheduled for Saturday, July 14 at 3:15 that I will be cancelling. If someone would like to PM me I would be happy to coordinate a time that I can cancel in hopes that you can snag it up.

Hello everyone - I am not sailing with you, however my cruisin' buddy Michael is sailing. He is not a disboard member, however he has decided to offer free lanyards to anyone who wishes to recieve them. I will post the link below - can someone please add this post to the roll call? I will NOT be monitoring this thread.

The link is to an open google doc - please add your information to the page. To defray the costs Michael is asking for donations via paypal. This is typical for lanyards given out during the cruise, there are many costs involved and Michael is doing this for numerous cruises this year.

We are so anxious to hear how the NYC sailings are and hoping that Disney continues to keep a ship on the mid to northern east coast for some sailings every year!

I can’t wait to hear about the 2-day cruise…fireworks, pirates, shows and are they taking future bookings.
