Disney Magic July 13, 2012 2 Night

Hi everyone!
Ds12 & I are booked on this cruise!
We are so excited to be back on the Magic. This will be our 11th Disney cruise but haven't been on the Magic for a while and we sooo miss her. We were originally going to do the Aug 25 8 nt but ended up switching to Alaska and it's killing me to not somehow sail from NYC while she's here!
Ds12 just LOVES the simulator in Edge which they don't have on the Dream. By luck we snagged an 11C that wasn't GTY so he's happy to be on deck 2 right down the hall from Edge.
I've never sailed without all 4 of us together so it will be strange but I can't wait. I had a dummy date (onboard booking) that I tried to change to this cruise but was also told no perks for these cruises.

I also heard there will not be a pirate party or fireworks. I can't recall where I read that.
I'd love to know what shows are playing in the WD Theater. We're hoping for Twice Charmed and Disney Dreams. They're our favs and never get tired of seeing them.
To the pp who mentioned sailing on Friday the 13: We sailed the Dream over Easter break and ds15 said, "Do you realize we're sailing on Friday the 13th, in the Bermuda Triangle, on the 100th anniversary of the Titanic sinking?"
We all had a good chuckle and decided it must be good luck because it was an awesome cruise, one of our best ever!

DH and I will be sailing the 2 nighter for my 40th B-Day Weekend! . Leaving kids at home. This will also be our 1st sailing as Gold CC Members!. We have Palo booked for Brunch on Saturday.

I'm assuming so. I know there is no pirate night, I'm thinking it will be cruise casual for both nights onboard. Too hard to do anything else for such a short cruise!

Nov 3? That's us! We love to cruise this week. Our kids get 3 days off school and it's during off peak season. We'll vote in advance by mail. Who knows if they really count it but at least we try.

I also received cruise documents for one of oour rooms lol
As for dress attire we will dress up a little for dinner. We are celebrating DD Sweet 16 on this cruise and the girls want to get dressed up. But you never know with teens they may change their mind..

Us too! I only wish we could be gone the entire week before. It's so bad now, I can't imagine what it will be then! We are also voting ahead. They will count it if it's close, I guess. I will have done my part.

I can't believe it. I just booked this cruise today. It was sold out this am, but we managed to find a cat 9C.
I'll be travelling with my DM and DD15. This will be our 11th DCL cruise,
Couldn't get any Palo reservations, but I doubt if that will matter since we'll be platinum.
3 disney cruises booked for this summer
Podcast 3.0 June, NYC 2 day July and NYC to Bahamas August.
It's so exciting (but expensive).

Just received our cruise documents today- that means that our anniversary cruise is really happening!!

I'm SO looking forward to it.... a real opportunity to relax and veg. I'll be post-op by a bit over 3 months and post radiation by maybe two weeks.

I work in mammography and always tell my patients they should treat themselves to something nice when they're all done. They usually think I mean something like ice cream or dinner out. I think of a treat like vacation/Disney cruise!
