Disney Magic - Dec 10, 2011 - Western Caribbean Cruise - Sun, Fun and Beaches!

What sorts of things do people wear for Pirate Night, short of full on costumes? I still have a bit of time to run out to shop.

Lots of people will be full out dressed as pirates. I have a hat and a "pirate like" blouse. A striped shirt is always good. Def a hat tho!

Sounds like some of us might be heading out tomorrow (lucky ducks!) I just wanted to verify our DISmeet.

Did we decide 2:30 in the promenade lounge?

(My last day of work before we leave is tomorrow! It's going to be a long, hard day but SO WORTH IT!)

Sinderelly and WDWEnabler, green hard hats don't scare me! :) Let me know what time works best for you for breakfast. We're going to try to take the early shuttle from CIS, which I'm told leaves at 10:30. (TIP: The rep at CIS I talked to today said that you can reserve your shuttle time the day before departure. Also, if you call, they'll let you sign up for a time slot even before you check in. Only 37 people per shuttle, so you can bet I'm calling first thing Friday morning!)

Finally finished the main step of the "big deal gift" for the FE. The last step shouldn't take too long! Then to package them up and get them in the suitcase. I hope everyone likes them as much as I think they will. :rolleyes1 Oh, and that suitcase they're going in? Nothing else is in it yet! I have a basic list, but have to find everything and wash it all. Yikes!

For pirate night, I got my kids costumes after Halloween (90% off!) too. So they will be dressed up, but DH & I won't be except a bandana with our regular cruise-wear.

Anyone know what they're wearing on Saturday for embarkation? If people know what they're wearing, it'll be easier to look for each other at the terminal.

We are wearing gold shirts with denim blue bow design. And you will never be able to miss DH(Mike) he wears a lime green hard hat.

Assuming I finish them in time (and they turn out okay) we'll be wearing white t-shirts shirts that look like this:

Except DH, of course, who have blue lettering. ;)

Love your shirt design! :lovestruc

I spent an hour this morning printing out every confirmation email, twice, and making a really awesome folder that's all organized and stuff. I have been having mild anxiety the past few days, as I always do before doing something "unknown", but the act of organizing all my documents made me feel a lot better! The copies of everything, along with copies of everything in our wallets and our cruise contact card, will be going to my sister tomorrow, just in case the worst happens. I am also scanning a copy to my Kindle. And of course my phone will hold all my emails, when we have internet access. Now I just need to draw up a spreadsheet or two of itinerary and packing and things to do. Please tell me I'm not the only crazy over-planner in this group!

MandyO - I just want to triple check that your dd's name is KYLE not KYLEE or KYLIE. I'm personalizing the FE gifts, and I went to do it & I just want to make sure it's correct. Please please get back to me as soon as you can on this.

Thanks!
Renee

Thanks for checking. But yes- it's just like the boy's name "Kyle". I used to be a high school english teacher and had a girl student whose name was Kyle and she was spunky and cute, named my daughter after her. But we get quizzical looks often. I now make sure to introduce her as, "My daughter Kyle". Thanks for double checking, can't wait to see what it is!!!

Totally stressed out and ready for this cruise! My FE gifts are lame but done for the kids. I have completely run out of time to do anything for adults. Can I buy you a drink? :goodvibes

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone at 2:30. I wish I could tell you what we'll be wearing but I have no idea. Guess I'll be looking for the green hard hat!

Wow Carmen thanks for the CIS info. We were planning to drive to the port, DH would drop me and the luggage off, then he will return the rental car and take the shuttle but NOW I am re thinking  I wonder if it would be better to return the rental car the evening before and take the CIS shuttle to the port? On our last cruise DH had to wait so long for the Avis shuttle that they had called our boarding number way before he got back. We have stayed at the CIS several times but never used their shuttle. Anyone know how the shuttle service is?
Breakfast could be about anytime. :)

I am getting ready to start on the copying and cruise doc packing. So if it makes you feel better I'm a little crazy too :rotfl: but the most important thing... I got my toes and nails done today! :lovestruc

Hmmm wondering how we will find everyone? At breakfast or the DIS meet? I don't have a lime green Mickey hard hat  Goofy not included we look like this...

Ugh! Why do these things happen? My DS has a cold and i wanted to get him checked out, So I took him to the Dr this morning and she is concerned it might turn into a sinus infection so she was going to call in a prescription. Soo I pick up prescription and the pharmist gives me Augmentin (i think) and it HAS to be refridgerated. Now I'm worried about keeping it cold at the airport and on the plane, but then I get home and am looking at everything and on the discharge papers she put ammoxiclin, (which I would prefer as he has had it before and it doesn't need to be kept cold). Sooooo I call to check on it and she's out of the office and now I sit waiting for the on call Doc to call back. Soooo Frustrated right now!!!!

Also I can't find my kindle! This is not my day and we leave tomorrow!

back to searching for that kindle!!

Thanks for listening to me vent

Tracy

I got my toes done today, too!

Wrapping up all the loose ends. Finishing my door magnets, printing docs, taking the dog and bunny to my mom tonight... We're driving down from MO and will be leaving TOMORROW!! :cool1:

We're staying at CIS Friday night as well. Will watch on here to see if you all choose a time for breakfast before we leave tomorrow. Hoping to catch that first shuttle. I'll be in a yellow top and olive capris. Don't remember exactly what was packed for the rest of the crew. But, my big kids rolled their eyes when I suggested "matching". Guess it won't be too tough to find the group with the guy with the green hardhat w/ Mickey ears, though! :thumbsup2

Can't believe it's almost cruise time!!!!

Hope your DS feels better soon and that everything works out!

I just got my hair cut and she cut it way too short. I came home crying and dh tried to make me feel better.
I am trying get the packing done, all my school work done.
Please send me some of those organizational and planning vibes. I need it a bunch.

We are definitely easy to spot. LOL.

Sorry to hear about all the stress! Feel free to vent away!

Your story is making me nervous... I have a hair appt in a few hours! :scared1: And my toes have been done for a few weeks now, DH took me to get them done (and he joined me!) Since I have worn nothing but socks and boots since then, the French tips are still pristine.

Some of my coworkers just found out where I'm disappearing to for the week. I was hesitant to tell people because we have already been questioned by some why in the world are we spending twice as much to cruise with Disney, as it's "pointless without kids". I should have known that most people don't feel that way. The lady in the cubicle over went to Key West/Cozumel on a Carnival cruise with her DH for their honeymoon and loved it, so it got me really excited.

45 minutes more today and 11 hrs tomorrow till I'm done with work!!:cheer2:

I hope he feels better soon. I hope you get a non-refrigerated replacement for your augmentin. Flying and boating with a sinus/ear infection does not sounds like fun.

Here is a pic of what our horde looks like.
