We are traveling on the Disney Magic to the Eastern Carribean in April with 1 3.5 year old, a 6 year old and an 8 year old, can anyone suggest some excursions on St Martin & St Thomas?
I would suggest doing beach dyas on your own. You can hire a taxi at the port in St Thomas. They are pretty inexpensive. Some of the folks here have been to the Butterfly Farm in St Maarten and have had good things to say about it. You can also do the water taxi in St Maarten and it will take you to the beach are there as well.
We went to Coki beach in St. Thomas two years ago with a 5 and 7 yr old. It was great! We got there early and brought our own snorkel gear(didn't nedd it) we could wade in up to our waists and see of the fish. They also sold dog biscuits(cheap). You could hold them an inch under the water and the fish would nibble on them right from your hand. The kids still talk about it. We brought our own snacks in our soft cooler and took a cab. After awhile, it got crowded and we came back to and empty ship!
I have not been to Coki, but Magan's was smooth, calm, clear, waveless, and very shallow for quite a way into the water--I would take a young one there in a second.
We are going April 16th. Any chance you could grab an extra copy of the camp activities for the week. We want to plan a night to eat at palos and don't want to miss anything. This is our third Disney cruise but our 1st time on the Eastern.
