Has anyone stayed in connecting staterooms on the Magic? I'm considering doing this for our next cruise with some connecting 7A rooms. We're a family of 5 (2 adults, 3 children). We've previously had 4A/4B rooms on the Dream and Fantasy that accommodated 5. I'm wondering if the connecting room doors can be left open, particularly at night.

Thank you.

We had connecting rooms on the Wonder over Christmas & will have them on the Magic next year. We are also a family of 5 (kids in one stateroom, adults in the other). We left the connecting door open all the time.

If your kids are little like ours, just make sure the inside lock is bolted in their room at night. We never used the kids' exterior door to exit, but the stateroom host opened it for cleaning & to turn down the beds so we had to relock it every night.

Yes, connecting rooms can be left open. You may want to bring a door stop or some other means of keeping them open so they don't slam shut with ship movement.

Yes, We stayed in connecting "hidden porthole" rooms on the Magic last year. We had plenty of room and were able to keep the doors open.

We've got connecting staterooms on our upcoming cruise and I can't wait! Our friends did it on our last Disney cruise and it looked awesome! They left the door open and used one room as a "lounge" during the day and the other one in case someone needed to rest. So one was always busy and the other one was quiet. Looked like a great set-up!

We propped the doors open with the trash cans. The balcony also opened and latched open.

We also had secret porthole rooms 5522 & 5524 last year for our family of 8. I'd rebook them in a moment.
