Disney Luggage Tag Question

I am booked at POFQ for a 10 day stay starting December 1st.

I am booked for a room only at All Star Sports for 1 night on November 30th.

I am going to receive luggage tags for POFQ with my package from AAA and a separate tag for Sports directly from Disney (booked the room only directly with them using a AAA discount).

Here's my question. I don't plan on unpacking at Sports, will have a change of clothes with me in my carry-on bag and am checking out very early the next morning to head to Animal Kingdom for AM EMH. Can I put the POFQ tag on my suitcase & have it go straight to POFQ, rather than having to transfer it the next day? Do I need to let POFQ know what I am doing & will they hold the bag for 24 hours?

Nope. Your bags are going to have to go to Sports with you (well, via DME luggage people). Luggag delivery is tied to your arrival resort. I would tell the luggage people at Sports to just hold your luggage overnight and then to move it to POFQ in the morning.
If you were to put the POFQ tags on your bag, when they scanned it, it could cause confusion at the airport because your reservation for PO doesn't start until the next day.
The other alternative is keeping your bags with you, and taking a cab over to POFQ in the morning. You would then have access to your bags at POFQ, rather than waiting for the bags to make it over from Sports.

Darn. I was hoping I would not have to worry about transfering other than from airport to resort.

When the luggage arrives at Sports, can I have the bell hop transfer it the same day to POFQ?

Thanks for your info.

I really don't know. I guess you could ask them. If it were me, I would just keep the luggage with me and take a cab over to PO the next day.

I too am in a similar situation. We are staying at WL from 11/9-11/18 but have bookend these dates with 11/8 to 11/9 and also 11/18 to 11/19 at All Star Movies for the flight days. I was told by numerous CM's via phone conversations and also reading on the boards here that All Star will move my luggage to WL for me so that we can go straight to MK. AND...the same for WL moving my luggage back to All Star Movies on our last day of the 18th.
