Disney Liquidation Sale
Friday - Sunday, April 20 - 22

Celebration K-8 School Gymnasium

If you are in the area this is a great sale. 70% off!

Thanks so much for the heads up on this :goodvibes

Does anyone know about what the hours might be? My friend and I are driving to WDW and planning on arriving in the area about noon on Sunday the 22nd. We'd definitely love to hit this sale if we can... we love bargains, but Disney bargains are 100% better! :woohoo:

I expect the hours will be up soon. (I noticed they had a planning meeting yesterday LOL!)

The first time I went was on a Sunday and I seem to recall they were just opening when I got there which was probably around noon. There was still a good selection of stuff (probably not as good as on Friday, but ....)

Thanks for the info! Last time the sale on Friday was only 5pm-8pm.....but the hours for Saturday and Sunday were much longer.

New update. Gives a clue on hours LOL!

Disney Merchandise Liquidation Sale

The Disney Merchandise Liquidation Sale is fast approaching.

It will be held at the K-8 School Gymnasium from Friday April 20th through Sunday April 22.

This is a very important event for our club as is our only spring fundraiser and the funds raised will allow us to keep our financial commitments to the organizations we support.

Help is needed on Friday to set up prior to the sale opening.

Help is also needed Friday evening 6-9, Saturday morning 10-2, Saturday afternoon 2-8, and Sunday 10-2.

What sort of things do they sell?

KC:)

We went to the one in the spring of 2005.

They had:
coffee mugs
baseball caps
t-shirts
Easter Stitch Plush (a large one)
sunglass case holders

It was really too much to list.
Definitely worth going to!!

They tend to have a lot of "last season" stuff. So the one I want to in April had a lot of Christmas stuff (I got a light up MIckey head, kind of hard to describe, but it's a cute Christmas decoration. I also got three boxes of the ride themed Disney Christmas ornaments with the characters in their rides.) You also find t shirts and stuff from the last promorotional year theme. It's generally NOT sutff you find in the park that same day. Prices were 70% off of the original retail. It's kind of cool, they ring it up at retail and then hit the discount button.. so your total suddenly takes this HUGE drop! (No dressing rooms, no returns)

Hmmmm...maybe I need to make a last-minute vacation to WDW, with a few stops in Celebration. After all, it is for a good cause.

Thanks for the info!

We will be arriving on the 19th! Yay!! I can't wait to check this out. At 70% off, this sale is calling my name! LOL!

Where is it and how do I get there?

It's at the High school in Celebration. From the WDW resort, just hop on I 4 or 417 and follow the signs.

Unless you are in dire need of last Christmas T shirts, coffe mugs with 2006 on them, or any mini basketballs that have 2006 on them along with a bunch of doo dad junk then don't waste precious vacation time over the sale.
If you want to find more up to date items, just hit the outlets.

We found a LOT of non-dated merchandise when we went to the one in the fall last year. We got some clothes (including my sons favorite.. Exp Everest tank top), some throw pillows, a cookie jar, wine glasses, picture frames, an a lot more... good place to buy gifts for the family. I think our total was something like $500, but then she hit one button and it took the 70% off to make it a much more reasonable $150. We filled the van with about a half dozen bags of stuff!

Does anyone know the historical dates for the Fall sale? WE are going in late September. I know it was in October last year, but I'm hoping that sometimes it falls in Late September? Not much I can do, the trip is set, but it would be a nice bonus if we were able to hit it again.

We were there I think Oct. 8th or so and it was going on...waiting to see if anyone knows about this years sale...:confused3 :goodvibes

I have not seen this fall's sale advertised yet. The fall sale is run by the Celebration PTA and I just checked thier web site, it' "Under renovation" I think it's been that way for about a year.

However, according to the Celebration Webpage, the community yard sale is the first weekend in Oct. Traditionally that has been the weekend of the Disney Sale. No gurantees.

We had a lot of fun at the community yard sale one year, though by the time we left the Disney sale it was nearly over and a lot of the people were closing down.

Just found this on the Celebration Home Page. Book marked it 9 months ago and I have been watching for updates. Assuming Liquidation Sale will be the same weekend we will miss it by a week.:sad2:
