Do you think this may be possible?

me and my partner are desperate for a dose of disney and the adverts that keep coming up on the telly advertising the 15th anniversary are really not helping!!!

So I have tried to find out about eurostar tickets and a day pass to the park but I am really struggling :confused3

we don't have much money but also we are child free so we can really push ourselves to get the most out of one day leave super early come back mega late squeeze in ride after ride  that kinda thing.

Do you think it's possible?

Have you done it or know someone who has?

Got any advice for me?

love to hear from you all

help me get my disney injection I am in dia need of it!!!!! :scared:

Definitely can be done and our Becky and others have done it :goodvibes

Have a look on the trippie thread and I'm sure others will had in their thoughts :)

We went last year while on holiday in France with two kids and did manage to see a lot in a day, it was in July and we managed to get on a lot of rides, we did feel though that there was a whole lot that we hadn't seen so this year we are going back for 5 days - yippee! As you say though you will be able to move faster without any little ones with you and will not go on as many of the kiddie rides as we did. We are looking forward to being a bit more relaxed about it all this year as last year we didn't even stop to eat properly!

I really wouldn't want to do it, especially from Cornwall. In fact I doubt it's even possible. I'm going to pop this across to our lovely friends on the DLRP forum. :goodvibes

we would go from ashford in Kent we have family there so not quite as bad

must change my location I live in Frome in Somerset now

if the 'one day' is only counted going to and from DLRP then its possible.

especially if you get the eurostar..leaves early and comes back from DLRP about 6.45pm so you get plenty of time..

but only possible if you count the day starting at the train! and not travelling to the train!

actually, its only about 2-3 hrs drive from Calais as well.

so possible driving as well if you share the journey

It could be possible but there are so many budget hotels reasonably close by. Why not stay over a night then continue you magic into the next day You could just wander round the hotels/village area if you didnt want to get tickets for 2nd day.

If you go on a day with evening EMH you will be able to stay in the park for longer. You wont be able to go on any rides unless you are staying in Dis Hotel or have dream AP but can linger in the park and stroll down mainstreet and look in shops etc.

We did 1 day in the park by coach a couple of times but this still involved staying overnight the night before, spending all day in the park and then leaving straight after park closing and driving back through the night.

We are going to be planning lots of day trips after we get our AP. We have a slightly different circumstance- we can just jump in the car and go, be there in 3 hours...
But still, day trips are fun! And even the hectic hustle and anticipation of it adds to the excitement!! We used to do ad-hoc trips to Vegas when we lived in Phoenix! Going to DLP would be a blast kid free and spur of the moment!

I've done a day trip - flew from Liverpool and arrived about 11.30 am, then left about 8 pm. We did go midweek in January so it was wonderfully quiet and hardly had to queue. It was great :woohoo:

My fiance' and I did it earlier this year, so it can definitely be done. We actually got both DLP and the Studios done in one day. Granted it was January so there were no lines for any of the rides, so that helped. I would go with a plan of what you MUST ride and what you can do without. The Studios is quite small so we knocked that out in a couple hours at the end of the evening. We even had enough time to grab some dinner at Downtown Disney. Get there early, and you should definitely be able to do it!

A few years ago (before the studios opened) we were in Paris on my birthday.

My wife asked what I wanted to do and I said DLP...

We got the RER, spent a full day there. It was November and raining steadily but every single ride was a walk on and we even had a meal in Silver Spur!

We had a great time and only saw around 30 other people max!

I'd say yes it can be done, but you need a full day. I'd concentrate on DLP first and any time left pop across to the studio (depending on when you go, opening hours etc.)

you are all making me very excited :goodvibes

do any of you have advice about coach deals or train deals or flights?

I can't seem to find much on the internet unless I want to go for three or more days :confused3

also the train times seem quite limited surely there is an earlier train than 8am?

and leaving the park at 6.45pm seems tooo early we want to squeeze in as much time at the park as we can :)

any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated :thumbsup2

Hi shellface, welcome over here! :welcome:

Have a look at The Useful Info sticky at the top of the page. Becky has done a super thread (with links) of all the airlines that fly into Paris.

As regards the Eurostar, you should be able to arrive earlier/depart later if you don't mind catching an indirect train (changing at Lille) or catching the Eurostar to Paris then a local train to DLRP.
