What do you think of this book and using it as an autograph book for DD4? I was thinking it might be something fun and different, she loves books and can enjoy it daily when we come home. But I noticed it is a paperback. How does it hold up? I'm worried about the wear and tear of carring it around and getting the autographs and then home use. I wish it was hardcover, but the one that is is several years older so may not have as many characters.

Any experience or suggestions on this would be great. Thanks!

We brought it on this trip (as well as hardback book from Shutterfly that I put together) and it was fine--we carried it in the backpack. It was a bit of a pain to always be flipping to the correct page, but some of the characters got into it and liked seeing their info and pictures. Aladdin quizzed my children on his info and was impressed that they answered his questions correctly. :) Tinkerbell read her info out loud to the Photo Pass photographer and quizzed the photographer!

By the way, Sharpies work best in the book!

We loved having it. The characters get a big kick out of it. The cover in ours did get a little beat up, but the kids still love it! We also used Sharpies, just be sure to uncap the pen and carefully hand it to the characters. After we went, I read some people here on the dis say that characters won't sign with Sharpies, but we didn't have that happen to us.

If you get one of those click open Sharpies you shouldn't have any issues. I've read that alot of the characters really like those.

Thanks everyone!! What do you think of using this for a 4 year old? or should I save it for another trip when she is older and could probably handle the book better?

I read on another thread about alternate ideas for an autograph book that some people have actually cut the binding off the paperback and get the spiral binding. They said it made it easier to flip through. Just a thought for you! I think this is what we are going to do!

Yes, we used the click open Sharpies and the characters liked those--I just carefully placed the Sharpie into the fur characters hands and they seemed to appreciate that.

This looks so great - even though we aren't planning to collect autographs, DS will love this book. I will bust it out during a line wait - it will be a nice little surprise!:thumbsup2

We used it this past weekend but note: RAPUNZEL isn't in the book! I was so flustered looking for her and finally found a blonde with long hair in a pink dress on a page before the Table of Contents which just had a bunch of characters' images and had her sign there. Only later, I realized it was GISELLE. Oops.

It was too heavy for my 2 year old, though she tried to carry it herself a few times. It also made for good entertainment when we were in lines at Pixie Hollow, PFF, and Tangled as the girls could flip through it to see who else was in there.
