Hi,

Hollywood Studios is so far the hardest park to plan since there are a lot of shows with set times :rolleyes1

From the map, Little Mermaid is right next to Disney JR show.

Is it possible to attend the 10am show of Little Mermaid (which I think I read is 17 minutes) and then right after, see the 10:30am show of Disney JR? Of is that too tight with time it takes to leave LM with the crowd and then to grab seats for Disney JR?

I could FP Disney JR if that would help.

OR

Is it better to just FP Little Mermaid at 10:25am and FP Disney JR at 11:20am?

Depends on crowds usually i would say yes. There's time to get there it's just if disney junior is full or not.

Thanks. Maybe we'll just FP both then for the Little Mermaid show at 10:20am and Disney JR at 11:20am, so we are not rushed. Is there anything to do nearby inbetween while watiing?

There are characters to meet in the Animation building as well as the drawing class and a short movie about the character development process.

I agree, I found it tricky to schedule around show times at DHS (and AK too). I don't know what your full itinerary looks like, but what I did with Little Mermaid and Disney Jr. was to do one when we first entered the park, make the loop around, and do the other as our last thing before we leave. This was partially because I wanted to break up shows with other attractions in between them rather than see 2 or 3 shows in a row.

There are a ton of fun activities in the Animation building (including character M&Gs...Mickey, Minnie, the Incredibles, and Wreck It Ralph and Vanellope). There's also a gallery back there with a bunch of movie art. It's pretty cool and not to be missed.

Awesome thanks. I noticed some animation thing, but wasn't sure if that would be too old for her. Sounds perfect.

Totally agree. Can see why you'd split them up. At the same time, most items are shows at HS. For the rest of the day, I have us doing things as a family like Muppet vision, Lights Motors, Toy Story (FP), Backlot Tour, Beauty and the Beast show. So for us, probably best to keep these together in the morning while DS9 is busy with other things for him.

We've done that more than once and never had trouble getting into Disney Jr. You won't be at the very front, but everyone sits on the floor and the little kids usually stand up a lot, so it shouldn't be a big deal to be further back.

Unless things have changed a lot with FP+ now, I don't know why you would waste a FP on either of these attractions unless maybe it is an extremely busy time of the year. We haven't had any trouble walking right up a few minutes before the show starts and getting into these in years. We have been to WDW once since FP+ and didn't notice a difference in regard to getting into the Little Mermaid (skipped Disney Jr. that trip as DD has pretty much outgrown it except she does like Sophia), but that was early into FP+, so I don't know if there may be more of an impact now. I guess the more people that actually FP+ them, the more impact there may be on the standby line?

From the guide I'm reading, it shows LM as high priority tier 2 ride. Is this not true? Disney JR was lower on the priority list, but guess just to ensure we get in for the time that we want (and I have the room to use a FP)

Mesaboy's FP thread rates LM as a C priority. I'd be surprised if you couldn't get in to the show you want without a FP, especially in October.

Oh, thanks for pointing that out. I forgot to go back and look at his recommendations on the main page (started there). Good to know then that it is not a high priority. We don't have some of the big ones (Rock N Rollercoaster, Tower of Terror), Star Tours is marked on DS9's list but not DD5's, and with only getting to pick one of Toy Story and Beauty and the Beast, it leaves room for LM and Disney Jr.

I actually have 2 HS plans, with one that doesn't work for a FP for LM...as it's right after Toy Story, and one that does (not very happy with either plan, as having such a hard time between all the shows on a set time and having DS and DD split up for a lot of them). Really struggling, and all Touring Plan suggestions include the big ones so their plans don't help.

I was wondering if we would have time to get to Rockin' roller coaster at RD (we will be at the park by 8:15 so hopefully near the front of the pack) and ride with baby swap--then head over to the 9:40 Disney Jr. show. I know it will be tight, but worth a try?
