Disney: It's For Adults, Too! (finally booked!!!)

79 DAYS!
I can't WAIT for September. Hockey training camps take up a good week and then the season starts to take up time that I would normally be thinking about Disney so it all goes faster. And september=fall which is the same season as early November! I'm almost in the same season as we're leaving!
I also bought the countdown app for my Iphone today. So I can know how many days are left without having to log onto disney's slooooww site.

Also, I was hoping you all could help me with some questions. First, we're going over my mom's b-day but mine is two days after we leave. Should we get pins for both of us or just my mom? I kind of want one but I also feel weird wearing a b-day pin when it's not my actual birthday! But then again, some people wear pins when their bdays are in other months. Opinions?

Also, I wanted to pre-order the photopass but I have no idea how to do that. I went to the website and it wasn't clear. It just kept telling me I needed a photopass number already? anyone know how to do this?
I also may just ask them to take pictures with our own cameras. Haven't decided yet

Same here... PRAYING that the CBA will be taken care of before the Sept 15th deadline. I say, get the 2 buttons. It may not BE your birthday, but you will BE CELEBRATING your birthday. (It's a Disney loophole that Roy put on the books in 1979). In regards to the Photopass, you can pre-order the CD for $120 or you get the Photopass card for free from your first Photopass photographer. They give you that 1st card and you keep using it every time you stop. Then when you get back, you pick and choose which pics, items of CD's you want to buy. But I say, why stop there...? Compare the price of a CD ($170/$120 with a pre-order) to the Photopass+ ($200/$170 with a pre-order LINK HERE ). With the + option you can include pics from rides and character meals. At $20-$40 a pop, I think the add on is worth it.

79 DAYS!

I say get the pin. Even if you don't wear it there (which would be acceptable anyways given how close your birthday is) you can wear it when you get home :) The only thing I would say is don't wear the pin on the same day as your mom. That way her day is her day, and you can have your day the next day.

As for the photopass, maybe BDL can help you with that. I believe he has pre-ordered a pass for us, but I am not sure what it entails or how he went about it.

I haven't pre-ordered our Photopass+ card yet. But we will be getting 1. There will be no ride that will be unphotographed where I look like a big sissy.

Loving your PTR so far, can't wait to hear more!!

Thanks for reading along!

There just can't be a lockout. That would make Disney come even slower. The players seem to really not want a lockout though so we just gotta worry about those greedy owners!
Thanks for the info. I knew there was a fairly significant different between preordering and ordering afterwards but I couldn't find a way to preorder!

I guess I'll get a pin, I'll wear it on our last day so it's closest! My mom hates attention and says she doesn't want a pin but I'm going to make her wear it anyways! lol!

Just wanted to say congrats for having your boy be named the youngest captain in NHL history.

Thanks! Avs fans are pretty stoked. He was easily our best option.

So I've started buying some things for my mom's little gift bag I'm getting her. I'm thinking I'll drop it off at her house while she's at work on October 8th (exactly a month before our trip).
So far I bought some pajamas and one of the soaps from the basin store with the mickey heads. I also ordered some of the fancy customized maps. I was going to wrap them all up and put them in a Disney gift bag but I can't find a non-ugly Disney gift bag so I'm thinking I'll just make one. I'm going to paint a big paper bag black and use fancy paper to make the bottom half red like Mickey's pants and I'm going to add some paper ears on top. I'll post a picture after I make it! (if I ever get to it lol)

I also changed some dining reservations (just times!). Remember how I was worried about getting every in DHS done that I wanted? It's our sleep in day and the park closes at 8. Originally I had DTD planned for the morning and a 12:30 Raglan Road lunch, then to DHS with a 7:05 Sci-fi reservation. I changed it to an 11:05 Raglan Road lunch and I got an 8:10 Sci-fi Reservation. So now we have extra time in the morning and we get to stay until close and eat after the park is closed! Pretty excited about that. That should leave us plenty of time to do what we want to do that day since it's pretty low crowds (supposedly)

59 days! That's less than two months. I like to think of it as a littlelot more than a month :)

So last post I had started to assemble the presents for my mom's gift bag. I couldn't find ANYTHING cute and Disney to put it in so I decided to make my own Disney bag out of a paper bag! I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out!
