Animal Kingdom and Hollywood studios seems messed up as they're taking up spots 4,5,6,7.

Just so you know your numbers are cut off a bit... see #5 :thumbsup2

But super cool, thanks!

I'm actually more impressed by the 14% change for US Orlando. I don't ever expect WDW not to be #1 because of the amount of people they can accomodate.

Disney needs to figure out what they can do to get those Magic Kingdom visitors into the other parks. 6% increase in MK, only 1.5-2% in the other Orlando gates.

Doesn't look like Disney OR Universal will be crying based on these stats. Everyone's happy.

I am honestly surprised that at least one (or both) of the Universal parks in Orlando hasn't moved past DAK or DHS. Are they just not physically capable of handling that many guests or does Disney just still have the monopoly -- i.e., guilt by association (or park hopper, as the case may be!)? I guess an entry into DAK or DHS for even half a day counts as a visitor, so it would be interesting if there was a way to count something like hours spent in a park. Not suggesting these are half-day parks (we can manage to spend a full day in each if we work at it...but we do have to work at it), but there's no denying that they could both use some tender loving care, eh? I'm a big DHS fan and think that with just a few tweaks, it could move up pretty easily. Will be interesting to watch these numbers when Avatarland and the Rivers of Light night show are done at DAK....and Diagon Alley down the street.

I agree. The title is a little misleading. Magic Kingdom is up 6%.

Not sure 1-2% deserve even 1 exclamation point.

I enjoyed reading that report! It included water parks, global museums etc.

Poor SeaWorld! They had a tough year for 2013. We did visit this year and it happened to be all the school and senior classes and Manta (top 5 EVER maybe top 3 rides I've ever ridden, and I grew up at Cedar Point!) had 75 min lines most of the day. We had a great day, but it was hot and busy (I guess good for them that day), but SeaWorld has always delivered a great experience.

I saw real shark eggs with baby sharks inside SWIMMING in the eggs! Never seen anything like it. Next aquarium to it had the shark pups. I was able to get REALLY close and see them.

I LOOVVVE Disney, but SW has always delivered an incredible park experience and has been affordable. I hope they can have a better 2014.

Glad to know that DLR is number 2! That's next on my list and I have never been!

It has to be concerning to Disney that Universal is growing at an insane rate. 14% is a ton of market share. And once the train opens in Harry Potter the attendance numbers will jump considerably for IOA as well. May even surpass DHS and AK.

I'm assuming Avatar is their hopeful solution to AK in their minds. Star wars land may be the other solution for DHS.

The full report is very interesting. Makes you kinda wish that Disney would decide to build a theme park in South America, considering the demand that there seems to be there. It would be interesting to see the effect on U.S. theme park attendance that a major South American theme park would have.

I also found it interesting how many visitors various museums can accommodate. The National Museum of Natural History had more visitors than many of the top 20 U.S. theme parks, which I find fascinating. One relatively small museum vs. an entire theme park. Whoa.

The fact that US Orlando grew 14% by opening Despicable Me and Transformers then think what is about to happen once Diagon Alley opens up!! :scared1:

And if you add up all 4 Disney parks and compare it to the two Universal parks then UO wins 16% to 11.5%. MARKETSHARE folks....marketshare.

What? Disney Orlando had 50 million visitors. Universal Orlando had 15 million visitors. Now, most of these were probably the same people going to different "Disney" parks, so I would guess it's like 20 million Disney and 10 million Universal "unique visitors." Disney has a much higher market share, however you look at the numbers.

Hooray, the Magic Kingdom is more crowded. :cheer2:

Disney is still King...but USO is making tremendous gains. If Disney finally does something with Star Wars on the grand scale we all want, then USO has no shot at ever dethroning WDW. But if Disney continues with these paltry (new parade? a M&G?), snails pace (NFL), boondoggle (MM+) additions then they could be in trouble.
