I would assume so, as they are both add on devices.I'm assuming it works for a Roku if it works for Firestick, correct?
I guess the DVD library is still technically a DVC perk, LOL.
Yeah, that’s a good point. The tv we had did not have any buttons you could toggle. I have similar Samsung’s at home, so I guess I could bring my remote to change H-D input, along with a firestick.on the Samsung televisions, there may be a button underneath the front of the TV or a toggle on the right lower back, depending on the model, that you can use to change the source input. If they have disabled it you won't be able to (some hotels disable TV settings but most WDW resorts don't disable all of them). some of the resorts have the original Samsung remote and some use universal remotes that have limited settings.
If you're going to stream via a Roku or firestick, you will still need to change the source input to HDMI unless you are at Riviera.
yeah, that’s what made me think about streaming access. My kids wanted to watch a movie last week at BLT. I checked out one from the community center (after a lengthy wait) and was trying to play it in the room. The only issue was there was no way to select a different input on the TV, so we couldn’t even watch it. The remote was universal and didn’t have an input option.
Lol. Oh yes, there is still a DVD library in the community hall. You can check them out just like at blockbuster.I think that was a joke. OMG, there really still is a DVD library???
Maybe it’s not all of them, but my Fire TV Stick has an AC power cord. Just plugged it into a wall socket and connected it to an HDMI port on the TV.Just remember that firesticks need a USB Power supply, and not all TVs have a USB outlet next to the HDMI port. To be safe, I'd bring an extension cord and a charger cube.
Exactly this. Plus, if I took a firestick, etc I'm sure I'd forget it. Why not include D+ - what a great way to market it? I mean, I assume most WDW visitors already have it - but still.I know Disney wants us out of the room, but with little ones it would be super helpful. My kids need to wind down a bit after the excitement of the parks, and there’s not a lot on regular tv for the under 10 age group at 8 at night. Disney Jr is always an option, but sometimes you want something other than Bluey or Spidey. I think we’ll bring our firestick next summer![]()
