Hi

I have a question. I was thinking about going to disney in October of this year for my honeymoon. For those of you who go in October are there usually any good codes or rates for this time? We are thinking about getting married the 12th or 26th of October. How about air, is it pretty cheap or expensive around this time? HELP!!!!!

Hello,

I am going to WDW for my honeymoon in October this year as well. In terms of discount, the only one that I can use is from Disney Club.

Can't help with codes (Mary's site can help you). We belong to DVC and have gone to WDW every October for almost 10 years now.

As with anything, airfare is touch and go. You need to consistantly check them. However, I can tell you that the lowest round trip I spent was $75 and the highest was $210 per person from Bradley (CT) to MCO (Orlando).

I've found that the later in October I go, the better the weather and the less the crowd. Early October welcomes many syposiums and company events ~ so hotels and parks at night become very busy.

If October 26th is a plan, think about how that may or not relate to Halloween. Many local Fla's go for a long weekend and it can be crowded around that time.

Just some helpful hints to help make your trip pleasant!

Good luck.

As far as air in October - I already have my tickets - USAir from Harrisburg $192 roundtrip. That's the $158 fare with all the surcharges, etc. added on.

As far as codes, you can usually get them for October but I don't think they are up yet. Keep checking your Sunday newspaper and www.mousesavers.com.

October is my favorite of all the months at WDW and I've been there every month. Unfortunately, I believe everyone else pretty much agrees because I think it is considered peak or at least regular as far as rates. A long time ago it was considered off season. Sometimes the 3 day weekend (Columbus Day) gets pretty crowded but overall it is manageable.... not near as empty as September and early December but I'd still pick October!

Just another question for those who have been to the park in October:

What are the attendants level like in the parks? Are there any day on which the parks would be extremely busy?

I found the following information on Deb's website. Can someone please varify this information for the month of October for me so that I can plan my visit efficiently.

--Magic Kingdom: Monday, Thursday, and Saturday

--Epcot: Tuesday and Friday

--Disney-MGM Studios: Sunday and Wednesday

--Disney's Animal Kingdom: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday"

Also, are tickets for Cirque Du Soleil's Sunday show tough to get? I cannot reserve the seat until I check in because I am using my magical wishes from the pacakge. I arrive on Thursday and leave Monday. So I have planned to watch the show on Sunday since that gives me a couple days to get the tix for.

Thanks for your help.

Hi, we make a trip in October every year.

Last year we got great codes off mousesavers.

Crowds arent that bad at all :) At least we never noticed any. Weather can be iffy, last year it was so hot but a couple of years ago we went and it was rainy and chilly the whole time.

If you are there during October I highly recommend Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween party. It is a great evening.

I think its a good its a good time of the year to go.

Hi Everyone

Thank you for the infomation. But i had to change the date for our wedding, i didn't get to the hall fast enough for my down payment. But hey i have a couple of extra weeks to save. It is now November 9, 2002. Is this still a good time to go to disney? What about the weather?

Thank you for your help in advance.
