Looking to return last week in March or first week in April, which do you all think? ANd how bad do you think it will be. I have gone at Christmas actually on Christmas Day and NEVER EVER again, but hoping these dates wont be that bad...Opinions?????

it is Spring Break for both of those weeks!!

I know parts of Ohio etc are the last week of March...

the Atlanta area is April 4-8.

we have gone twice over spring break and wont go again!! ( the weather was sooo hot the one time and it was soo crowded both times!).
we would rather go over Xmas than Spring Break :rotfl2:

call and see which has more open reservations.... I would go that week!! ( dh and I will be there March 24-26 and there are a ton of openings for restaurants.. so I am taking that as a good sign!!)

Hi,

I live in NJ and teach in NY and up here we don't even start spring break until close to the end of April. Not sure about the rest of the country but as far as I can see you should be ok with either week.

We will be there 3/31 - 4/7! We often go in April. The weather is beautiful (upper 70s, low 80s) and not very humid. It is busy but not overwhelming. I was there this past dec 9-13 and holy moly. It was CRAZY busy, and that was the value week in december. It was definitely busier than any time we have been in April. So I say go for it, make sure you have a plan in line and have fun! :thumbsup2 Oh and in terms of ADRs, DH and I have changed ours a couple of times recently and most restaurants we've tried for have several openings at prime dinner time! We were able to get everything we wanted at the time we wanted... including the California Grill less than 2 months out. :thumbsup2

We've been the first week of April the past 6 years or so because it is our spring break. Our's doesn't reflect when Easter is like some schools. The weather is usually great like a pp said. upper 70's, low-mid 80's.

Depending on if the week we are there is before or follows Easter it has been crowded but not terribly. IF no Easter then just busy. With Easter being late this year we are excited because we use less points and it is not so busy.

Last year, we went the last 2 weeks of March & it was very busy. The line for a fast pass on Toy Story Mania was 90 minutes at 20 after the park opened. We asked one of the CM if this was really busy and they all said nothing compared to the week between Christmas and New Year. Last year, too, the weather was unseasonably cool. Week 1 was awful, but week 2 was much better with smaller crowds and warmer weather.

We also went during that time in 2008 and it was great. We are going again this year. It looks like the schools are all over the calendar as to when they are having breaks this year, which may spread out some crowds.

We usually go in April for our spring break, but we try to avoid Easter. For example, our Spring Break is the week of Easter this year, so we have opted for Hilton Head this summer. We have always enjoyed our trips in April, the temps are usually great and the crowds seem manageable to us.
