Hi DIS Family..

I haven't been logged in almost 4 years... OMG, how times past.

I now have 2DD, 6 and 4... Hubby and I want to take them to disney.

Last time we went in September.

Any advise? Deals????

We went at the end of August last year when free dining was being offer

I haven't seen any offers for July - it is usually supper busy then so Disney doesn't have to do much then

The last week of August isn't as busy as a lot of schools across the country are back in session. Lower crowds makes the heat more tolerable. :thumbsup2

We have gone for the last two weeks of August the past 4 years. The weather is hot, but manageable, the free dining is a big plus, and the crowd levels are down from the summer highs some because of all the kids going back to school in the South.

When our boys were little, late August/early September was our favorite time to visit. Low crowds, no lines in the ladies room.....:) Now we go in early June, but I really miss those slower times. We did July once, and, unless that's the ONLY time we can go, we won't be going in July anymore. Way to crowded, lots of tour groups and beastly hot!!!

We have done both. July is busier & you also will have tour groups that can take up a large part of a ride or eat up some FP's. The later you can go in August the better.

I have gone both early August and late August a few times. Late August was less busy than early August IMO. It is considered value season. We are tired of going in August so we are going July 4 to July 14. We are in regular season. When we went a few times in mid to late June during regular season we did not find it as bad as early August. We are willing to pay for the regular season rates in July and try something new. I did get a 30% off PIN code that I used for my July trip. It indicated that it was for July but in fact it was good for all of 2012. Happy planning!

Thank you all for your response. I'm thinking July so that my sister and her kids can attend. THere back in school by August. The sacrifices we make for family time.

I unexpectedly got a card in the U.S. mail in November 2011 called "Game On". It had a 15 digit PIN code that was linked to my name for 30% off resort levels. If you call Disney reservations, a PIN may be under your name. It is not a guarantee, but you have nothing to loose by asking.
