Disney in February

We stayed at CSR last February (2006) from the 14th to the 22nd and must have hit on the perfect weather week, sunny:cool2: and 75 to 80 degrees every day. The week before the CM's told us was cool and windy, and I checked after we left and apparently it rained for two days!

Try this tip: I have "Weather Bug" on my computer. Two weeks before I leave for WDW I change the location from New Jersey to zip code 34741 (Kissimmee). My PC now gives me constant weather updates and current temps for WDW area:surfweb: . Also you can check the ten day forecast and trend to be prepared.

If all else fails do waht I do.... PRAY FOR SUN!:sad2:

as a canadian, did not know that Presidents day is a big week to draw crowds. we are going feb 10-16 thinking it would be quieter. Is the Presidents week busy the week before or the week after. Also with Daytona race on, will that make it much busier. I wanted to book as late in Feb before it got busy but maybe should have done it the week before??

Don't worry disneyfan2, you should be gone before the major crowds roll in. You'll be in Disney the same week as me. It's actually the week of Lincoln’s Birthday. President's day is the following Monday. That is the week that should be very busy for numerous reasons, but mainly these three.

President's Day - Mon., Feb. 19, 2007
Daytona 500 - Sun., Feb. 18, 2007
Mardi Gras - Tues., Feb. 20, 2007

thanks, that is encouraging, Ican't wait. First Timer :dance3:

Feb 10-14 here.....and we always pack jeans, shorts, hoodies, tshirts, and coats. I learned my lesson

One Feb we went and it was supposed to be like 75 or so, so we didnt pack coats. It was COLD one morning and we were walking around the MK and we had to buy 2 hoodies and they ARE MY FAVORITE thing in the world!! So warm! Anyway, now we pack a range of clothes and arent left out in the cold, so to speak!

As far as crowds, if you go to the theme parks board, alot of people are saying it is wierdly PACKED this time of year and the lines are LOOONGGG...so I dont know. I hope its not too bad, usually its not in Feb, but you never can tell!

5 WEEKS TO GO! Oh i cant wait!

we always do disney in february.... nice break from snow and cold winters in wisconsin.... I have come to learn that if the rain stays away and the sun is shining then I dont mind wearing a sweatshirt and jeans to the parks.... anything more is just an extra benefit. Nothing ruins my day more then rain.... even though I try to be the upbeat positive one for the rest of the family when it happens... deep down I am disappointed and its no fun being disappointed on a long awaited vacation.

Hi,

We are thinking about trying a trip to Disney in February. Is this a good time of year to go? Will it be too cold to swim? How about crowds? This will be our second trip, first was in October.

Thanks! :-)

I went in Feb last year, I thought it was a pretty good time, with the exception of Fantasyland on EMH day, lines weren't too bad, I think the longest I waited was around 10 minutes and that was for Soarin in mid-morning. As far as swimming, I did go once, and as long as I was in the water it was fine, it was just the wet walk back to my room that was a bit chilly. Overall, I thought it was great and would go back again during that time.
