Hello everyone,

I am not even sure I want to post these, after reading Delswifes reports, but here goes anyway. Warning, these are quite long winded...

Departure day Friday December 5th

The cast…

Me, Erika, 34, Disney obsessed for as long as I can remember
DH, Steve, 36, extremely tolerant of my obsession, loves Disney vacations
DS, Matthew, 10 ½, loves Disney World, tried many new things this trip
DD, Alexa, 7 (almost 8), as Disney crazy as I am

Our plane was not leaving until 3 on this day, but dh and I took the day off. It’s a good thing, because I still had a ton of packing to do. We picked the kids up from school and headed to the airport. I had already done internet check-in with Delta so I just had to check the bags curbside. We had plenty of time to spare before our flight. Now it was time to stand in the security line. This was our first time flying since 9/11, so this new security was a new thing. Thank goodness I like to wear slip on shoes LOL. It took probably 15 minutes to get through, then we just headed to our gate and waited until it was time to board. This was our first time flying on Delta, and our first time with connecting flights. Normally we fly direct, but I could not pass up the $137 round trip fare I got last spring!!! I must say I was pretty impressed with Delta, they were very on time on all our flights. Our first flight was uneventful. The kids played with the new Gameboy Advance SP’s that I had hidden in their backpacks. I was still in shock that we were finally heading back to Disney, since our last trip in August of 2001!!!! We landed in Cincinnati and had to try to find some dinner. We only had about 30 minutes before we had to board our next flight. First we went to find our gate, and we discovered a trend, all our gates were at the very end of the concourse!!! My dad lived in Cincinnati when I was growing up, so I used to fly into this airport at least twice a year by myself, from about 6-16. Wow, has it changed. Anyway, we found a McD’s so we could scarf down some grease before we got on the next plane. As I was waiting for our food, a woman came to order and says “are your nuggets processed chicken?”, ROFL, this is McDonalds for pete’s sake LOL. The guy behind the counter replies “they’re all white meat now, they’re awesome” ROFL!!! We had just enough time to wolf down our food and get on our next plane. Again, right on time. This flight was smooth as well, the kids watching a DVD (man where was that technology when I was a kid). We landed about 9:20 pm, and I was in a fog. Disney does that to me, it’s always like a dream to land in Orlando. We grabbed our luggage and went to get our car from National. I had a full size reserved, Emerald Reserve. The Emerald Aisle was completely full as well as the full size aisle, and they told me I could take whatever we wanted from the Emerald Aisle. There were a bunch of PT Cruisers and other cars, we selected a white Chevy Impala. Turned out to be a good choice. It was fully loaded, leather, CD player, moon roof, and brand new. It had only 7 miles on it!!! It was a really nice car. We were finally on our way to the world. I love driving under that Disney World sign for the first time! We were staying our first night at the All Star Music. Check in was quite backed up, we must have waited about 15 minutes. I couldn’t believe all the people checking in so late, it was almost 11 at this point. It’s finally our turn, and here’s my room assignment. Country Fair, building 5 LOL. Building 5 is closest to the ASSports parking lot, no big deal. Oh but wait, that parking lot is closed, it’s reserved for tour buses. Oh well, it was only for 1 night, I can take it. I really didn’t care for the ASMusic. I have stayed at Movies before, and liked it, but I didn’t care for the décor here. We finally finished the trek to our room, thank goodness it was on the first floor, so we didn’t have to go up the stairs. We all headed straight to bed, but sleeping here doesn’t work so well LOL. My kids cannot sleep together, so it’s girls together and boys together. Sharing a double bed with one of my kids does not work well LOL. I can here my son tossing and turning, and my daughter likes to bounce her head on the mattress when she’s falling asleep, UGH!! Goodnight everyone!!!

but I have been to Movies and I do love that place.....thanks so much for your trip beginning

I agree about the decor at All Star Music, I didn't care for it much either. I have never stayed at the Movies or Sports so can't comment on those. Sounds like a good start though. Can't wait to read the rest.
