August=hot sticky weather + crowded----before school starts
December=cooler weather + crowded + no swimming??---Week of Christmas to New Years..

I'm sure I'll be in the minority, but I'd choose August. I hate being cold.

December!! ::yes::
Even more magical than usual....and it might not be too cold.

I went the last week of August last year, and the crownds were not too bad. We were able to do everything we wanted with smart use of FP. It was hot and sticky, but we are from New Orleans, so it was like being home. Actually it was less humid at WDW. :earseek:

Given your choice, I would pick Dec because I've never been there to see the Christmas decorations!

Another August, the end of August, that is. I gotta be able to wear shorts on vacation.:teeth:

Agreed... and pull the girls out... go the 1st week of December... no crowds nad beautiful weather & decorations. Do it while they are young and can :teeth:

Don't hurt me Amanda ;)

I'm with snoopy...end of August, but I may be biased bc I am TIRED of being cold. Right now I wouldn't mind hot, humid weather as long as there's a pool.:)

I don't think I could quite face the holiday crowds either.::yes::

How're the Shepsterettes with crowds vs. heat? (My experiences with the end of August have been manageable crowds.)

I wouldn't go that week in December because of crowds and I wouldn't go in August because of heat. We went over Labor Day once and I thought we might all perish. ;) I voted for pulling them out and going when you want but I am a wicked heathen so I wouldn't listen to me. :teeth:

we went at the end of august last year. my feeling was it's going to be hot and miserable here too, i might as well be enjoying myself at wdw. :p seriously though, we didn't find the crowds or the heat to be that bad.

I love to go in august. The heat doesn't really bother me at all, and you HAVE to go to atleast one water park! (not sure if you can do that in december?)

tricia.

We may end up going the first week in August this year just because J.C. will be in Jr. High and I think at this age pulling him out might be a mistake.

Now if I had children the age of your girls I would definatly pull them out and go the second week in December. MVMCP should be going on which is AWESOME! The Christmas Decorations are gorgeous, the weather is awesome etc....etc.....etc.....Oh and the CP at Epcot.......Definatly December!!

Pull them out and go the first 2 weeks of Dec that is what we do. We take our oldest daughter out of school to go and will continue to do so until SHE feels she shouldn't miss the time at school. I am sure she will never feel that way hehehe. We have also never had an issue with swimming in Dec other than when we went to Cocoa Beach but we don't usually swim in the ocean anyhow.

I'd go in August but I love the pool and water parks. December can be iffy for lots of swimming.:D

I have been inAugust and thought it was too humid for us. We love the 1st week of December.

Well the counter says August, so I guess August. Love the heat, hate crowds and can't pull kids out of school, besides for us what a way to end the summer.

I say take the kids out of school and go in early December (that's when I hope to be there and we'll be pulling my granddaughter out of first grade for a week).. I've read that the week of Christmas to New Year's is horribly crowded and I "think" (not sure) that accomodations are more expensive then - not to mention trying to get decent airfare and such..

I could NEVER go in August! We went the second week of September and between the heat, humidity, and daily downpours, I thought I would die! I don't tolerate heat and humidity very well at all..

But - whenever you go - have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!::yes::

I vote for December also ~ it's waaaaay more magical! ::yes::

With the exception of June, July & August, I have been to WDW each of the other months over the years....

and without a doubt, my favorite month to be there is December.

The decorations, the special Yuetide shows, Mickeys Christmas party and going from resort to resort checking out the gingerbread houses....all the other Holiday extras make it so special!

Not to mention it's a great opportunity to escape Old Man Winter for a while.......

I vote for pull them out of school and go the first part of December. :)

We went Christmas week and still went swimming some afternoons. But I would not recommend that week because of crowds. :)
