Disney Idiosyncrasies

Just got back on Tuesday!

1. Our first MK ride is always the Jungle Cruise and we always turn left at the end of Main Street.

2. We wear Disney shirts (new this year: Mickey tie dyes courtesy of the Dis!)

3. My fiance and I hold hands through Wishes.

4. Ohana for dinner and Kona for breakfast at least once per trip.

We have a few. The first one is probably the nerdiest, but something the kids will always remember.

1. We don't always go to MK first, but the first time we go to MK we always "jump in." As we pass under the train station, we all join hands in a line and when we come out into the square we all jump together.

2. Dole Whip.

3. We always buy one of those magnetic, rubbery photo frames. We put a picture from the trip in it, I write the date of the trip on the price tag on the back, and these are all on our inner garage door going into the house.

4. Listen to Off Kilter.

5. Would never, ever consider missing The American Adventure.

6. This is the only vacation where I willingly get up early.

So you were the family I saw!:rotfl: Just kidding!

We totally do this too!!! It is only me and my DH, so we usually get some fairly hilarious looks and people laughing, but I love it, and I think, well hey we just made someone else smile. So my job is done. And we only go in through the right (at Disneyland) if I have to go in through the left, I don't jump. I don't know why... Weird. But 98 % of the time, we go in and under the train to the right.

I have alot of the same ones as other posters, but I'd say my most favorite is saying hi and goodbye to my brick at Disneyland each day we are there. I walk up say hi brick, I kiss my fingers and pat it twice, yes twice everytime we are there. Then the same when we leave for the day, but obviously with bye brick, see you tomorrow, or see you next time. I literally almost started crying in June when it was grad night and the cast member would not let me say goodbye to my brick. LOL...I'm a little crazy for this one. LOL

I pack the same dorky wardrobe (a ton of simple design Hawaiian shirts and a RnR T-shirt) for every trip. The crazy CM in my head tells me that to wear them anywhere else would be sacrilege.

I freely admit that this one is especially strange- I refuse to open my eyes once we get in our rental car from the airport until we are past the gates of WDW. In my strange little world, my subconscious cannot reconcile that all of Orlando has not surrendered itself to Disney. Of course, I've never told the people driving this. They just think I'm taking a nap to get ready for the first day blitz we always do.

And I MUST wear the same shirt every time we go on ToT, but this is mostly to prolong a long-standing joke among my family. They think that it's a complete accident I've worn the same shirt in the ToT pictures for 7 years running and that the shirt and the ride have some sort of cosmic connection! I always convince them I always forget each year, and they love it for some reason! :rotfl2:

Sometimes I think I belong in the Bates Motel instead of Saratoga Springs....

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I have nothing to say at all!:rotfl:

Do you have secret and not-so-secret habits that you do at Disney Parks or in planning your trips? I mean the kind that don't bother people, and the ones that drive them crazy!:headache: Like always riding the monorail first, or wearing the same Mickey Mouse socks for 20 years! I personally don't have anything to add, but I would love to hear some responses!:rotfl:

Since I go with my sister will tell you both she once in the resort room has to put all her clothes in the drawers and hang things up and I leave all mine in the suitcase thinking they only wrinkle once.:rotfl2: then sister has to decorate for the holiday that is the closest to our trip:lmao: then we head out to find dear BIL as he has fled all this for a coffee:cool1: then we take off for DTD and walk around an check out what is new in the last year:banana: then we eat at Rain Forest and head back to the resort for early to bed since we been up all night the night before and fly in to Orlando early.:cloud9: so we to bed decent time so we can be up early on our first full day in WDW and head to a character breakfast and then to MK and we take the WDW railroad all around the park to see what is going on and thankful were there once again:dance3:

I have to do the parks in this order: MK, EPCOT, DHS, AK. After that, I can visit any parks on any day, but the first 4 days MUST be in that order.

That is exact opposite of me catching whatever the first bus that arrives at the bus stop. Although I am generally rooting for the MK bus.

1. We always go to Magic Kingdom on our first day and immediately get a dole whip float.

2. We ride Tower of Terror no less than 10 times.

3. The only character we wait in line to see is Ariel.

4. We always buy our photo from Expedition Everest.

5. We always end our trip at the Magic Kingdom, and our last ride of our trip is always the Haunted Mansion.

IASW always comes first on each return visit to WDW. (It was the first attraction we experienced together.)

Stock up on Dark Chocolate Mickey bars.

WDW calendar.

Stock up on cotton WDW shirts for DH.

I always wear some kind of shirt with a Disney logo or graphic. At MK I always ride Pirates first, at EP, its the ball, DHS its Star Wars & AK is the safari. Our first day of vacation is always spent driving down. We always get there about 4pm, drive straight into DTD and eat at Rainforest. Happy trips to all!
