We are travelling with Virgin next December and stopping in the Grand Floridian. My question is, will we receive our Ultimate Hopper Passes on arrival at the hotel or do we have to wait for the welcome meeting the following day? (Thats if there is a welcome meeting from Virgin when stopping at a disney resort).

I have never travelled with Virgin before but with Thomas Cook and Walt Disney Travel Company I got an extra voucher that I handed to the cast member and she added the ultimate hopper passes to the room keys.

When we checked into WL last year we were given a plastic credir card type pass which was our ultimate pass and could beused for entry and charging to the room whilst in WDW. I believe the pass has to be issued at check in as it is valid for the duration of your stay, as that is what you have paid for. Virgin can't expct you to wait and collect it the follwing day when you may want to go to an evening parade or fireworks the day you arrive!!
By the way we missed the welcome meeting last year as we had no more tickets to collect or excursions to book and boy does it give you nearly an extra half day. IMHO if you have been to Orlando before you don't need to go, but if you haven't it may be nice to hear what the reps have to say or if upon your arrval you need to ask questions about something you are unsure of then I'd say go but ask at the bginning before the talk begins and you can slip away quickly!!

thankyou both for your help. I am not a great fan of welcome meetings as it takes up too much valuable time from your holiday.
I usually buy my tickets before I travel but this is the first time that I have stopped at a Disney Resort and with the tickets being included I wasn't sure on the procedure.
