hello,

Looking to book are first trip to Disneyland at the end of September. It’s likely to be our only trip there due to the bigger expense in travel then disneyworld. Ideally I would love to stay at one of the Disney hotels and I’m curious if there are any discounts ever on them? Trying to plan out a budget now.

If you wait a week, Gay Days is October 4-6.
Gay Days and Dapper Day offer some of the lowest onsite rates, similar to convention rates.

Do Dapper Day and dress dapper. We did and it was great fun. And we got the Disneyland Hotel for 50% off. The pictures from that trip are great, partially because of the cute outfits.

If you do DD, buy tickets to the Expo (only $10 for the whole weekend!). Dressing up is super fun, but it's the Expo tickets and merchandise that help keep the event running!

Along with the special event rates already mentioned, it would be typical for DL to offer 20-25% off select rooms Mon-thurs in September. But, that promotion probably wouldn't be offered until early summer, and with GE opening next year, what's typical might not repeat itself.
