Disney Hopper Tickets - Need Advise

I am new to this forum so this may have been posted many times before.....


I am going to disney world in March. Right when I return my sister is going and staying at the same place.

Can I purchase Disney Hopper passes or Disney Hopper Plus passes use two days and give them to her to use the last two days or so?????

I see that they say they are not transferable; however, would anyone really know????

Please help me on this issue. It seems I would save some money if I did this.

I am going for a week; however, I don't know how many days
my family wants to go to the parks. We are thinking only two or

I think buying the hopper tickets in advance is the best value. Usually, the more days you buy, the better the price.

How many days will your sister need? There is a 7 day hopper Plus ticket that sounds good if you are going to use a lot of days (I have heard it comes with a free character breakfast that isn't listed on the website, but I haven't bought it, so I can't say). These tickets never expire, so even if you don't use all of the days this time, you can save them.

I've bought the 7-day PHPs, and they do not come with a character breakfast. And like Hunnypots said:

Have you been to WDW before? I think that once you're there, you will most likely want to spend longer than 2 or 3 days at the parks ! IMO, I think you should buy Park Hoppers or Park Hopper Pluses now from the Disney site. There is a really good discount to buying them early, and there is only a $3.00 US charge for mailing them (standard). Or you can order them and pick them up when you get to WDW. If you're not going to the water parks, Pleasure Island, and Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex, stick with a 5-day Park Hopper. The site above have more explanation on Pluses. I think that you may find that buying separate tickets for you and your sister may work out better once you're there and you discover ALL the wonderful things to do, see, and experience in WDW.

One thing offered by our recommended discount ticket provider The Official Ticket Center that I have not seen elsewhere is a 4 Day Park Hopper Plus.

Give them a look.

I just bought tickets from them for my upcoming April trip and everything was handled very well - it went smooth!

These are currently available at all the ticket wholesalers, not just OTC.

All of the ticket wholesalers I checked were at least a few dollars more than Disney advance purchase however...several offered passes that weren't available thru Dis. like 2 & 3 day PH tickets.

Make sure if you buy from wholesalers that you get the actual tickets, not a ticket voucher which may or may not get you anything.

The disney advance sale prices on the web do not include sales tax. Just something to keep in mind when comparing prices.

If you buy 1 pass you will not both be able to use it on the same day - and if you are considering a 7 day pass - you might want to consider an annual pass (which used to be the equivalent of and 8 day pass) -- with an AP you will also get 10% off lunch at epcot, discounted room rates when available, 10% off at World of Disney at DTD and other discounts. You always get the actual tickets from the wholesalers. The only exception to this is the tickets sold specific to the international market (10 day world pass, 30 day Fun in the Sun, etc). When you buy those, you always get a voucher that is turned in at Guest Relations at WDW for the actual ticket. Those tickets will have expiration dates.

To elaborate a little:

Disney from time to time will release specialty tickets like 3 day PHP's, 4 day PHP's, and 5 day PHP's with 4 plus options for purchase by the ticket wholesalers. They are offered to all of them and 99.9% of the wholesalers will buy them.

When they are first released and while they are still available from Disney, everyone has them. When Disney cuts off the sale of these specific tickets (similar to what they do with their video/DVD movies), some wholesalers have built up a supply of them for future sale. Since none of those tickets expire, this is easily done. That allows a wholesaler to offer a certain ticket at a time that many of the others won't have it.

Currently though, Disney has 3 day PHP's and 4 day PHP's available through the wholesalers. That is always subject to change at any given time though.
