... to all those who are having their honeymoons in Disney :

Where are you staying?

Why did you choose Disney?

What are you most looking forward to?

I know I'm soooo nosey - but I love hearing about Honeymoons in Disney.

We are honeymooning on the DCL's Disney Magic - this will be my first 7 night cruise we did the 4-night one and felt we had to do the 7-nighter. Then we're back to WDW for 6 nights at Beach Club Villas.

Disney was easy for us as we're getting married there - however even if we weren't having a destination wedding in WDW we would still have chosen WDW for our honeymoon - we both love it there :)

I'm most looking forward to the cruise and also we are going to have a meal at V&A at the Grand Floridian and we're really looking forward to that, as Paul will have his tux for the cruise we've decided to really dress up for that particular meal.

We are getting married there also. 9 weeks from yesterday is the big day :bounce:

We choose Disney since we just love it there, I've been almost every year since 73.

We are splitting up our time between the Contemporary (just because we've never stayed there) and the Boardwalk Inn.

We are going to do a photo shoot in tux and dress the day after the wedding in the MK, I'm really looking forward to this :D

First, let me preface this by saying DH and I are already married. We will be renewing our vows in 2006 and once again "honeymooning" in Disney. So with that:

Where are you staying? Allstar Music Resort or Pop Century. We are only in the room to sleep and shower so I can't see paying for a deluxe just to do those things.

Why did you choose Disney? Because I really love spending my anniversary in 11 different countries in one day. Where else can you do that??

What are you most looking forward to? The time spent with my wonderful DH. I'm really looking forward to our down day from the parks playing minature golf and having spa treatments done at the GF. Nothing to expensive, but just enough to relax us and make us go hmmmmmmm. :teeth: I know how much we enjoyed our lavender baths before and our facials and sinus relief. Each of those cost $35 a peice and that's RIGHT in our price range.

My fiance and I will be Honeymooning in WDW. Unfortunatly we are unable to afford a WDW Wedding:( . But we will be getting married in NJ and Honeymooning with ::MickeyMo ! That's good enough for me! We will be staying at Pop Century May 21-27, 04.
I've been to WDW 5 times and I LOVE IT!! Although it's been about 10 years since I was last there. This will be my Fiance's first time there. We chose WDW because, Why NOT!! Is it not one of the most magical and wonderful places on the earth? I know that's where I would want to be for such a special occasion! When I fell in Love :lovestruc with my Fiance I had the same feeling I'd had when I was in WDW which is a most wonderful and overwhelming feeling. It was a Happy feeling and I always told him that I'd feel as though I'd die and gone to heaven if I could be with him in WDW. I don't know about you guys but that's the type of Honeymoon I've always dreamed of !!
Lori

we won't be marrying in WDW either, secondary to financial reasons... we are getting married in north haven, CT at a place called Fantasia(a little appropriate for a disney themed wedding i think:D ).

we will be doing the land and sea vacation... May 22-29 2005!!! I am already counting the days. we have never done the cruise, but have been to disney together twice and have had a blast.
we will be staying at the port orleans riverside for 4 nights, then on the cruise for 3...

I am looking forward to lots of things...

~ being able to relax and just see what we want to
~ getting a spa treatment on the cruise
~ going parasailing
~ getting to eat at boma again
~ and most of all..... Being able to wear the Minnie Bride Headband!!! (a once in a lifetime chance)

many people wonder WHY we are going to WDW for our honeymoon, especially since we have been there 2X together, and i have been there at least 5 other times... and our reason is... WE JUST HAVE A GREAT TIME THERE... we are able to just be goofy and have fun... and most importantly we know we like it there, so we know we will have a good time...

Congrats to all the upcoming brides and hope you all have magical honeymoons!!::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

We are both getting married at WDW and honeymooning there! We are staying at BWI until the wedding and honeymooning at the Poly for 9 nights! We have never stayed there so we are very exicted. We got a great AP rate of $250 a night and just couldn't pass it up, and the Poly is so beautiful and lush and romantic, we thought it would be perfect. Both FH and I love WDW and are not really beach people, so WDW is perfect for us.

LOL I just asked you these questions on your intro thread. Your plans sound fabarooney Kami. WDW is perfect for non-beach lovers and wow that is a great rate for the Poly. Have you eaten at the restuarants there ? I love Kona Cafe for breakfast :teeth:

We will be staying at the Wilderness Lodge.

We chose Disney World because I absolutely LOVE disney (Mickey Especially). I haven't been there since I was about 8... and FDH was great to go along with the idea. He's never been there and is really looking forward to it, as am I.

I don't think I can pick one thing that I am really looking forward to. I can't wait for everything. The actual vacation part will be great...haven't been on one in a long time and never with FDH. I can't wait to experience the Magical Disney experience again. :Pinkbounc

We will be sailing the wonder for 3 nights, from there we will be checking in to the Polynesian for 7 days.

FH gave me the option of Hawaii or Disney, he has been to both numerous times and loved them both. I have been to neither, I chose Disney and then the Polynesian. Now I can get a little of both!!!!

I am looking foreward to EVERYTHING!!!! It is not only my honeymoon, but also my 1st trip to Disney!!!!

Oh wow Prosephone that sounds like an ideal honeymoon and as you say you get the best of both worlds Disney with a splash of Hawaii. I love the Wonder too, fabulous :)

We all ready had our honeymoon.

We had our honeymoon on Nov 9th to 16th.

We stayed at All-Star Music Resort. To us, it was the price and the idea that we weren't going to be staying in a hotel room all day. We were just there to sleep, wash up, dress, and that's pretty much it.

We choose WDW because I've never been there before and I heard wonderful things. It's been a while since I've been to DL, and I just wanted something fun and different. Most people I know on their honeymoons went to "romantic" places like Fuji and Italy.

We looked forward to many things. Food and Wine Festible, Magic Kingdom, meeting the characters, going on the rides, things like that, that's what made our trip.

Lori - your honemoon sounds great. I don't suppose you could write us up a little trip report.... pretty pretty please

I know there are a few brides-to-be on here who are having their first trip to WDW as a honeymoon and it would be fun for them to read about your experience.

No pressure .... perhaps some of your best bits ? :teeth:

I am new to this board so I will add! I am excited! My family goes every year but this time instead of just a family vacation it will be my honeymoon!

We are staying at the All Star Music Resort. Because I have my son we are doing the package deal with Visa so he can play/stay for free. We were going to stay in the Wilderness Lodge, but since we can't afford it we decided the All Stars are fine with us.

I am bringing my dress along and we are getting our pictures taken around the different areas. I am SO excited. I can't wait!

princess3 - Hi and welcome to the DIS :wave2:

Are you arranging a formal photography session with Disney in your dress - you can do this at MK very early in the morning obviously at a cost? But it would go towards making up for you not being able to have your wedding there. Read this link here

Also where else were you thinking of wearing your dress? I just wanted to check that you know that you can't wear your dress into the parks with the exception of if a) you have your wedding reception there b) you had arranged a private Illuminations Dessert Party in a VIP area (there are minimums for this) or c) the photography package mentioned above.

Sam,

Yeah, I know I can't be in the park with my dress on :(. I will just walk around the different hotels and the beach. I called Disney and asked if it was ok because on theknot.com a girl advised me not to do it but Disney said as long as I am not in the parks they don't care. I even had a girl check with her supervisor. I would like to get a shot of us infront of MK gates but that is it. There are SO many ideas I have. I was going to do the professional photographer but FI said he won't get up early on his honeymoon except to do the Cinderella Breakfast. I wish I could wear my dress there. That would be awesome!

We are also getting married in WDW in May but are unsure of a honeymoon. Does anyone know of a private place in Disney to have a quiet few days. We are thinking of maybe driving to the keys but we really don't want to have to drive that far.

Jana,
Thanks, I will check it out and let you know how I make out.

We are not honeymooning in Disney but we are getting married there. Just 58 days from today. I'm getting very excited!!!

We are staying at the Grand Floridian for 7 days before the wedding. So I guess it's sort of a pre-wedding honeymoon.

The wedding will be in the Wedding Pavillion and the reception at the Grand Floridian. We're expecting about 70 guests. We leave the day after the wedding for a 7 day cruise on Royal Caribbean (traveling the southern carribean). We figured too many kids and families on a Disney Cruise. No offense but not what we wanted for a honeymoon. We were looking for something relaxing and fun.
