I know people probobly post stuff like this all the time, but I still have to ask.
I am getting married next year (May 26,2007). :bride: Unfortunatly we couldn't swing the whole Disney Wedding, because we have to many good friends and family who wouldn't be able to make it if we did, so we are getting married in our home town of Cheyenne WY. We are compensating for this by going on our honey moon to Disney World in Orlando. :love: I went to Disney World years ago and stayed at the Port Orleans Riverside. I loved the openess of the resort, but beyond that, I rememeber very little. I think this time we are going to stay at the Port Orleans French Quarters, we are getting the meal plan, as well as the park hopper, and water hopper plans. I have several questions;
1.) How long should a honeymoon to disneyworld be? We are thinking 8 days, I hope this is long enough.
2.) What is the nigh life like, and is admission included in the park hoppers, or will we need to pay cover charges? (I'm planning for the later)
3.) I have heard that you can get "special treatemet" on your honeymoon, is this true?
4.) Does anyone have any additional travel tips for DisneyWorlrd?
Thank you for your help!!!

1. There really is not a typical length to a Disney honeymoon! 8 days sounds perfect for me. I have heard anything from a couple of days to two weeks and even longer. For me, 8 days would be perfect...Disney wears me out, because we are constantly going. If you have a longer vacation such as 8 days IMHO, you would have time to relax, sit out by the pool, venture off Disney property, etc. (You could do that with a short vacation, but we usually don't). Long answer short..8 days would be a great honeymoon!

2.The night life is a lot of fun at Pleasure Island. There are many clubs as well as a comedy club or the comedy warehouse. Other then clubs at DTD, there is cirque du soleil and a movie theatre. Besides Pleasure island, there is the Boardwalk Resort. On the Boardwalk, there is the Atlantic Dance Hall and the ESPN club. I am sorry, I don't know a whole lot about the Boardwalk, but I hope that helps!

I dont think admission is included in the regular park hoppers for Pleasure Island; however, if you purchase the Water Park Fun & More Option, then you get limited (I think 6) access into places such as Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach, Pleasure Island, and Disney Quest. I think for 8 days, if you add on the Water Park Fun & More Option, it is only 40 $ extra per person.

3. Yes, you can get special treatment on your honeymoon; however, don't go into it expecting it! I have been on this board for a couple of years and have seen people get great extra special treatment, others get some, and some that don't get much at all. If you want the special treatment, which most of us probably do, be sure to say that it's your honeymoon when you make hotel reservations as well as dining reservations. Also, pick up the honeymoon pins and wear them or wear the bride and groom mickeys ears! You will definately get lots of congratulations! :)

4. My tips for Disney World would be to have a great time! Soak it all in, because having a Disney vacation is a wonderful experience. Try not to get yourselves overworked or too tired though. With 8 days, you should be able to have a fun/exciting yet relaxing vacation!

Rustyflwr3 did an excellent job answering your questions. As far as a DisneyMoon and the length it is really going to be up to you and your fiance. You should maybe take time between now and then and go over some of the things you may want to see and do and decide if 8 days is right for you length and budget wise.

Also, be sure the get the Magical Wishes pins from any guest services at any theme park and where those pins everywhere because you never know what might happen. Plus, you will alot of attention and congratulations. And also be sure to have it noted on your reservation that you are a honeymoon couple.

Feel free to email me or pm me anytime with questions.

Have A Magical Day!
