Disney Honeymoon Help

OKay,
We want to go to disneyland for our honeymoon, and we are going to drive from Houston, TX to The Wildnerness Lodge. Now We want a 4 day hopper pass and then for 2 more days we want to go fishing (it's a requirement), go golfing and then see downtown disney. So that's a total of 6 night or up to 7 nights at Disney. Then 2 more days to drive home, or we might fly now that I am writing this. How should we do this, should we buy a vacation package from disney and do that silver or gold add ons for 2-3 days. Or should we do a honeymoon package? I know this may sound dumb, but if you tell them it's your honeymoon do you get upgrades? Can I just get the vacation package and then says it's my honeymoon? Or do I pay more and do the Vacation Package? Help!!!!!

Kelspea - FIrst of all you do mean Walt Disney World in Florida don't you?

Do you know that you want to eat all your meals at Disney? Also do you eat a lot ? If that's the case then the packages can certainly work out as good value.

Are you saying that although you are off going fishing and golfing you'll still at Wilderness Lodge? Because if so it may not be worth your while to book any on any of the packages.

To be honest we normally book just a room only with the Central Reservations Office at Disney as this works out hte best deal to us. We look out for codes on mousesavers.com

The honeymoon packages look fun and they have some add ons but you are paying for them so you need to decide if the extras are worth the extra price to you. But it does not include being upgraded - Disney will not upgrade you just because your on your honeymoon it will always depend on the room assigner at the resort.

Finally if you do decide to book and you don't choose honeymoon pacakage just make sure you ask each person you speak to to put honeymoon on your reservation. It certainly won't guarantee you a honeymoon but you never know.
