Disney Hollywood Studio Question

I have seen several posts with lots of people no liking DHS. Am I the only person where DHS is at the top of my list for favorite parks? I realize they have a major amount of construction going on but for whatever reason I really enjoy this park a lot.

Welcome to the dis, Phillip. I think you will not have a lot of company with the Studios as one's top park, but probably many, me included, who do enjoy the park just fine.

I spend more time at the Studios than any other park at Disney World ... Well between EPCOT and there is where we spend most of our time.

It has some of my overall top attractions: Star Tours, RnR Coaster, Tower, Lights Motor Action, Indy Stunt Sow, Frozen Sing A Long and Beauty & The Beast. As well as two of my favourite restaurants in 50's Prime Time Cafe and Sci Fi Drive In.

Personally, I'm not sure why people dislike the Studios so much with so many top level and favourite attractions to a lot of people. All the top level attractions are still open. If anything, Animal Kingdom is the park with the "least" amount to do for parks (to me). We live here and have not been to Animal in at least two months other than to the opening of the new Harambe Market to check it out.

It all depends on your situation, family & interests I suppose. Magic is Magic and is the first and an awesome park. Though after riding the Mountains and Haunted Mansion, there is little there for us to see or do. No restaurant to eat at that we would go out of our way to eat at either.

It may just be that Studios is my favourite park. So no, you are not alone

WELCOME TO THE DIS PHILLIP! ... I really enjoy DHS and especially appreciate the Hollywood-style theming (one of my favorite in-park restaurants is Hollywood Brown Derby!), IMHO I just wouldn't personally consider it the #1 park at WDW, that doesn't mean that there is anything wrong if it is your #1 park, everyone is entitled to their own personal favorites, and DHS is certainly a quality park for that matter!

I really believe that this general perception among WDW fans may change in a few years once questions are answered about the identity of the park and where its going..

It's my favorite. I love the vintage ( and I don't me its old and outdated ) feel of it. My two favorite rides are there. I love old Hollywood. I love the streets! It's just my happy place

Agree on the amazing theme and look. It's classic and its perfect. If they must, they could change the STUDIOS part since they don't film or produce anymore, but frankly, they should keep the HOLLYWOOD part, nuthin broke there!

I keep tabs of every park we visit so I can tally up our usage at the end of the year (first time APs!) And by far, HS is by far the park we go to the most. We love the big four (ToT, RnRc, ST, TSMM) and I have enjoyed all the Star Wars Weekends and can't get enough of the Frozen Fireworks. I have 2 day planned this week, and would have been all this weekend if we hadn't caught a yucky bug. Out of 7 days of FPs booked, 4 are HS, 1Ep, 1AK, 1MK (the others for variety.) And I'm planning for another day when my window opens up for early Sept. We both agreed even before we moved here, if we had to choose one park in all of Orlando, it would be this one. It's going through a bit of a transition, but if the rides work, it's still our favorite. MK is so tiring with the ferrying/bus/train and we still go, but it never takes less than an hour to get home, almost two, after the last ride. HS is so easy! And its close to our house (which is why we can see the fireworks the best.) We sniffed in honor of Art of Animation, but everything else is so far the same. (And thank goodness Jack Sparrow is gone!)

So yeah, we are BIG fans. Where else can you see smileys in the sky?
