Disney Hoarder trying to clean up my act

I am a Disney hoarder who is trying to clear out my house. I am now in a 4 bedroom colonial with a full attic and will be moving to a 2 bedroom condo soon.
I can't believe how many things I collected over the years and just stuck up in the attic because I had no place else to put them. Now I need to clear out but hate to just toss it because someone might want or collect it.
Does anyone know where I can get rid of all this stuff?
I have over 150 snow globes, most from TDS but some from the parks.
I have most of the Disney magazines from 1986 to 1997 along with all the centerfolds (copies of lithographs) from all the magazines.
I have more pins than I want to admit. I am keeping some of them and little by little selling these on a pin board.
I am not computer literate so selling on ebay would be a real mess although I am trying to figure that out for the snowglobes.
I also have tons of National Geographic magazines from the 60's and 70's that my ex husband decided his sons might want when he moved to FL. I think he just couldn't toss them and figured he would dump them on me. Now they are just taking up space in the attic too.

Don't you have eBay 'agents' who could advertise them for you and take a share of the selling price? Some of your stuff could be worth quite a bit. I'd try to get someone to help you with selling.

I have a bunch of Disney things that my mother in law gave me. I posted them on craigslist and had luck selling most.

Yeah I would ask around to friends who might be computer savvy or try one of those ebay places. It sounds like you have some good stuff that would sell.

You could try craigslist or have a huge yardsale!!

I agree with a lot of the suggestions. Try listing it on Craigslist or sell it on ebay with the help of a tech savvy family member or the we sell for you ebay places.

Another option would be to try an antique mall in your area. Even though your items aren't "antique" some of those dealers sell items that are old, but not really antique old, like your magazines. They might buy them from you or work out some sort of a consignment deal with you.

The magazines you may be able to give to local schools or daycares if you aren't interested in selling them. Lots of times they use them to cut our pictures for art projects.

Something like those junk trucks the hoarding shows use is faster. A friend who had to clean out her MIL's house after they inherited it used those junk trucks.

Glad I was able to retrain myself to stop buying junk in the past decade. Bank account grows so much faster when you aren't shopping.

Snow globes can be a real headache.

Any with missing water, I mean bubbles on top? That effects the value. They are also very fragile, the resin is so easily snapped for the tiny pieces. Shipping them (via Ebay sales) is expensive, and tricky.

That said, some of them could be worth all that trouble, you could try researching on Ebay for past completed auctions, and make note of any that sold for a good price, say over $30. Then see if you have any of those.....

Good luck, I know the feeling of having TOO much Disney stuff! Now, I only buy stuff that I REALLY love. And that I have room for. I have 2 big figs, Luke Skywalker Mickey, and Princess Leia Minnie, that I love. They are SO huge, bit so far, they are still on display in my bedroom, lol.

I stopped collecting snow globes because of the bubble issue. I have 4 Sleeping Beauty ones that are 10-15 years old.

I would go for Kijiji. It's just like a newspaper classifieds section but online. You deal with people directly with no money passing through online. Much easier than those other online sites and you don't have to worry about shipping.

I'd suggest staying away from yardsales, because those of us who do shop yardsale are looking for low prices, not collectibles. Ebay would be a good choice for most of your stuff, definitely...

But I wanted to put a quick plug in for "Give kids the world." If you have items you list but don't sell, please consider donating them to charity, and GKTW is always looking for little "gifts" that the visiting children receive on the days they are there. Gently used pins they could trade in the parks or undamaged snowglobes would probably go over great with the little visitors.
