If you are planning on staying at the Disney Resort on Hilton Head this year, be sure to book a dolphin tour through another company. The resort is great, although the dining accommodations could use some improvement, my family and I really enjoyed our stay there.

We always go on a dolphin tour when we are here and last year our tour was great but this year they must have partnered with a new company because they put us all on the Dolphin Seafari tour and it was horrible. We barely saw any dolphins. The first mate gave us false facts about the few dolphins we did see. My son, a marine biologist, tried to correct her once and she told him he was wrong and started arguing with him. I do not know what her credentials are. On top of that, the captain was not watching where we were going. He was on his phone almost the whole tour. We almost ran into a piling.

I definitely would not recommend this tour if you have young kids. I also would not recommend if you have a fear of water. The experience made me feel lucky I was a strong swimmer. I am surprised that Disney partnered with such a bad tour company. We have had such good experiences with them everywhere else we go. Has anyone else run into this problem?

We just did it last week and it was really really bad. We saw a few dolphins but the staff was terrible. The captain was looking at his phone the entire time and they extended the tour when we had dinner plans without even asking us first. We were late for our dinner plans by almost a half hour and it definitely wasn't worth it for any of us. Besides the tour being too long and the bad customer service on the boat, we also got treated poorly at check in. The lady at the kiosk was very rude. My husband had to stay in because he wasn't feeling well and when I explained this to her, she refused to refund us for his tour ticket. I should have went with my gut at that point and stayed off the boat but the kids were so excited. It was just a huge disappointment all around. Don't go on the Dolphin Seafari, fellow Disney lovers!

Hmm, a brand new member joining just to give a negative review.
