Cast:
Dave, Freda, Devon, Mickey and Rene'
I don't mind the humidity here, we have it in MN summers too, but my hair went ...........TWANG...........POOF, like Scuttles hair when he tried to comb it with the snarfblat on Little Mermaid!! Know what I mean?
Woke up at 6:55 today. Neighbors kid is up too and screaming. This happened on and off all week. I wasn't mad just felt sorry for the parents having to put up with that on vacation when you're already tired.
Poor them!
Out the door for coffee and more people watching.
This morning we have PS's for Chef Mickey's ( if I can I'll add our picture on our last day-Day 10).
Back to room to rouse the family. Oops, forgot to bring Dave some Java. Girls put on their Mickey and Minnie outfits and hats to sign. Took the bus to Epcot then monorail to TTC, then the inner monorail to the contemporary. Only 5 minutes late this time!!
Had the family photo taken. Turned out OK and we had not boughten any yet this trip, so we forked out the 26$.
Our server was Michelle. She looked exactly like Aunt Sharon! She had been with Disney for 20 years and only switched jobs once 6 months after she started. She said she loved it here.
Food again was great and too much of it. I found another Krispy Kreme donut or two
. Characters did great and the kids got all the autographs. For sure much more hectic than Cape May Cafe'. We made sure Mick got more smooches from Chip or Dale.
After breakfast we spent some time in the shops and finding pressed penny machines. Took the bus from MK back to Movies. It was already 1:30 so we decided to drive to Typhoon Lagoon ourselves. I had more fun this time because I felt less disoriented than my first time. Had more fun doing wave pool and watching kids in it, gulping water by the buckets!!
Close to closing Rene' got the whiney I'm hungries! Back to Movies to change and drove to Yacht Club.
We hadn't tried Beaches and Cream yet and we were really hungry. I used 2 vouchers here. They didn't let us get sides like I thought. Got burgers, fries (paid for an extra very small order for Mick), OR which were very good, 2 cokes and a No Way Jose' and Mud slide desserts. Let me just add here I am still drooling over those sundaes, they were the best!! And I have a fudge stain on my shirt to prove it. The family next to us came in for one dessert only. You guessed it............the Kitchen Sink. We took a picture for them and 1 for us. I'm glad we didn't attempt this, even though they had fun trying to get it down............it didn't take too long for this thing to look like a melted unappetizing mess. The Mom was trying to do it justice while the rest of the family gave up....it was cute! Rene' took 2 bites of something then headed to the arcade next door. I vote to get rid of the arcade and make this cute little place a tad bigger. We were seated at a table (remember a family of 5) and didn't dare move.
Left there and found another penny press machine. Walked to the beach and sat for awhile. We really couldn't do anything else but let our tummies rest!
Enjoyed the twinkling lights for awhile, then the natives (kids)got restless and were starting to throw sand at each other...............time to go
. NOT!
Back to Movies to watch Disney. I went to gift shop to browse. The night was young but Dave was sore from Typhoon Lagoon, so we called it a night.
Nighty night!
Favourite Disney movie line:
