Woke up a bit too early - 5:11. But I'm at Disney!! Got Dave some coffee in his almighty "refillable mug". Up and had a quick bite of toast, muffins and juice. Called guest services for a blow dryer, which arrived very quickly. Thank you!
Got to the bus stop about 8:30. Oh look, the screaming family is standing in front of us.
I'd cry too if my Dad yelled at me in front of 200 strangers! Arrived at MGM just before the public was allowed in. Today was EE day. Headed to Muppets movie, Indy Jones then Dad took the older kids to Star Tours, while I took Rene' to that HISTK play ground. She was done in about 2 minutes!!
We found a bathroom and went to get fast passes for HWTBaMPI. Met up with family. Walked down the street towards TofT trying to decide our next move. We saw characters, but everyone we waited for was leaving for a break. Union thing I guess. Rene' and I did Mermaid, while the others did RR. They loved it.
It was time for our PS's at PTC. My first time and I didn't know exactly what to expect. Out hostess was older than dirt, but sooooo cute. Her name? Mom, of course. I guess it could have been granny. Our server was cousin Bob. The older kids were bickering and he asked if they wanted to stay to do dishes. Our food didn't take too long, but our PBJ shake was pretty much dessert. We ate all our veggies and I was daring and said I thought we deserved free dessert. No go. Okay. By the way, we had 2 fries, one with gravy (I'm Canadian), one fried chicken dinner, one pot roast dinner, onion rings which were more like shreds. Was there an easier way of eating these? We were full enough after the shake, but I didn't taste any jelly, just PB. Our bill was around 45$ with tip. It was a fun meal. Just the right amount of funny. I loved the waiter beside us with the fake ketchup bottle. He pretended to spray the customer with a white t-shirt. HeeHee! Devon and I thought that was cute. She was just sooooo shocked, then smiled when it was just red yarn. Ha!
Time for millionare, these prizes are a joke. The way the hostess acted, I knew she thought the same thing! An audience member that was cheering on the player looked exactly like Dennis Quaid. I looked more than once. No, coulded be, he's probably too busy making allamony payments for Meg's fake lips. Did......did "I" say that?
Us girls walked through the Walt Disney One Man's Dream. I could have spent more time reading here. The guys saw the movie set thing for Haunted Mansion. They both said it was NOT worth seeing.
Ok. Confession time. I'm not big on thrill rides anymore. Too old I guess. Mickey wanted to do TofT with me. OK. We get to the line and she said, I have a stomach ache. I say, you'll be fine. No really I don't feel good. OK, I wasn't going to make her. I say, I'll go on and you can take the chicken elevator down. No, stay with me. ARRRR!. She's been talking about this for weeks!! Exiting now.
Devon, Mick and I did do RR, while Dave and Rene' found people to chat with. HOLY COW!!! Mom, did you like it? Don't know, I was too busy screaming. Mom, did you see those signs on the way? Don't know, I was too busy screaming. Mom, did you see those palm treees? You love palm trees. Don't know, I was too busy screaming. It was the joke of the trip. You should have seen how wide her mouth was open. HA HA!! Yea, I'm lucky I did'nt just die. Once was enough.
Almost 3 pm now and looks like everyone's gathering for the parade. Oh look, an ice cream cart, how convenient. Mickey bar please. Enjoyed this while waiting for the parade. Rene' was dazzled with all those fancy princesses. Short and sweet parade.
Then waited in line for TGMR. Almost 15 minutes. Pretty much our longest wait all week. I didn't remember that there were so many gangster scenes. Rene' didn't like it, don't blame her, it was LOUD! Dave took Mick and Devon to do the back lot tour. Rene' and I went to the playhouse then to BaB. Getting late now. Had supper at Rosies's. Used one voucher on Burger, soup (instead of fries, wouldn't do a "side"), lemonade and an apple strudel type pie. This was really nummy!! Dave bought a pizza on the side. And Mick had to have fries again, so I ran to McD's. My lemonade was gone by the time I got back. But everyone knew better than to touch my dessert
I went to get water. Free, imagine that! After eating, the family found a bathroom while I chatted with a CM from WI. She was a college intern.
Time to head for Fantasmic. Stopped for a popcorn bucket. Mickey and Rene' sat so nice and loving throughout the show. How sweet, and what did you do with the real Mickey, the one that can't stand her annoying little sister?
Enjoyed the show, but does everyone think we're deaf? Everything is so LOUD!
Happily shopped along the streets on the way out. Saying NO a million times before we left .
The kids wanted to swim when we got back, but it was already 8:30. So we found........what's this.......could it be? Disney cartoons. Wow, the magic never ends.
Rearranged our things and prepared for our next day. SHHHHHH.........we're leaving the "WORLD" and heading over to USF.
