Sad Cast:

Dave, Freda, Devon, Mickey and Rene'

The packing up went better than I thought. I slowly took all the sights in one last time so I could remember them a little longer. Sigh!!

There was no envelope on my door so I wasn't sure if I needed to check out or not. I went by guest relations anyway so I did that. Got coffee one last time and to the gift shop too of course.

Wanted to try to have breakfast at Baskervilles at the Grosvnor, but this didn't work out. We tried twice to park with no luck. I should have called and made a plan but we couldn't take the time now on the way to the airport. By the way I have a 50% off GC if someone wants it, it expires in May I believe. There is no name on it and it could be used for Breakfast. I know the new ones can only be used for Dinner. E me if you want me to mail it to you.

Dave wanted to eat at IHOP anyway. OK. Our waiter was nice and the pancakes were good. The orange juice was so fresh my son says, it tastes too much like oranges. No, really? I happen to like my OJ like that.

Took the same route back to the airport. Could not understand the return guy at Dollar at all. He said something about signing for a slight scratch? Hmmmmm I'll have to watch my CC bill when it comes. Being from MN we just do not come across many people who can not speak English. This guy had a very heavy accent.

The Sun Country sign was laying on the floor behind their counter. I wonder why that's why everyone had to ask where their desk was? You'd think an airline could afford a SIGN. When an agent taped it up everyone clapped. HELLO!

As we waited I found the Krispee Kremes at the food court. Bad girl. And Rene' and I found the Earport too. One last sigh.

Our flight was slightly delayed because of questionable wheather in MN. We landed around 3:30 and sure enough we plowed snow all the way home. Major ICK!

Home again, home again jiggety jig! It's great to get away but it's lousy to get back! Esp in the muck and guck of a snow storm. At least the cats are overjoyed to see us.

Notes and thoughts:

Overall the parks were not bad. There seemed to be a lot of people, but not in line. We pretty much walked onto most things.....no complaints there. CM,s for the most part friendly.

We ran into our housekeeping ladies one day.......they were watching soaps while cleaning. I thought this was so funny. I've been running a Bed and Breakfast for 10 years and I do the same. It helps pass the time I guess.

A big thank you to this board. You have saved me time, money and lots of effort with invaluable information. I love it!

By for now! :wave2:

Sounds like your vacation was a big success. I remember our first trip, my youngest was 7, and sometimes it was tough. We did a lot of splitting up because she did not want to go on any of the big rides (she even refused to go on Haunted Mansion). Anyway, by the next time we went, when she was 8, I don't know if it was that she was already familiar with the parks, or the extra year, but she did almost everything! It was good in one way, but in another I kind of missed the time I spent just "hanging" with her while the others went off on the rides. It sounds like overall Rene held up well and kept up the pace of the older two...not easy to do for a whole week I am sure!

Sounds as though you all had a wonderful vacation.
