OK! Deep Breath!
My DH and I are paying for our Babysitter/"adpoted"DD20 to meet us for 2 days at the World (she's away at school) for a
Christmas/Birthday gift 
When I got her first & second confirmation letters her name was spelled incorrectly so I called and had it changed
. The third came the same as the first and second except with the correct spelling. Today I received her vouchers and called again because her name was spelled correctly on some and incorrectly on others
. The agent on the other end was very sweet
and assured me it was correct in the system...then she reviewed the tickets!!! OH NO!!! They had the water park option
...now we are from the Bahamas and to us 70 is cold, so why would we want to go to the waterpark??? I explained that this was a mistake. The agent checked with guest services and they said it would be $50 to take off the waterpark which is only $53 because it was on the confirmation I received back in July
. Well, the ticket package was not listed on any of the 3 confirmations I received for her!
I faxed the confirmation to guest services, ready to fume due to the day I was already having, but within minutes of faxing (not even 5 minutes) Ardis called back and agreed that it was not on the confirmation letter so I will be credited the waterpark amount. WHEW
!
I know it may not be much, but it is the principal of it...if it was on the confirmations then obviously I was totally missing it and it was not very obvious. Even in the ticket/voucher package that came today it is listed as *fun*...um, hello
, I do not work for WDW and this is my first trip since 95. I really think they (as well as many other companies out there) need to make things blatent to avoid what could be a upsetting situations...for customers and nice agents that have to deal with the upset customer.
Now keep in mind that this was after not being charged for my DD
who I said would be 3. I didn't feel right lying about her age so I called and had it corrected.
