I would have been hurt too. I do not think you are overreacting. You know the ins and outs of this relationship/friendship and if you feel a line was crossed, its because one was.

So many of us on here know this drill: people who don't get our love of Disney and have to run it down or make fun of us because to them its silly and a waste of money.

I say to each their own. But when people tease, they need to realize that not everyone shares their sense of humor. Many a friendship has been ruined because somebody decided to play a prank or tease one time too many. Some people wouldn't know how to be funny if Bob Hope came down from heaven and gave them a lesson!

I'd get them the Mickey frame and spend as much time in Hawaii as possible just you and your husband!

Hi all,

Thanks again for all the great advice. DH and I are planning to use Hawaii as a romantic couples vacation, rather than just their wedding. I have spoken to DH about it and he agrees that what they did was jerk-y and hurtful, and he did speak to one of the guys involved to tell him that we didn't appreciate it and to quit doing crap like that. Since the people involved are terrible planners and I'm a planner (Disney training in action!) I have planned a bunch of activities and we are taking a stance of, "We are doing X. If you want to tag along, great. If not, we'll see you later."

Thank you all again for letting me rant. You guys are always there for me.

i feel that a romantic getaway is just the ticket.. eh wedding shmedding.. i mean in a year they could divorce..anyhow you are doing the right thing!

I think you have made a great decision to make it a trip for you instead of them.
