Disney Half Marathon Registration is now CLOSED!

This was on the Disney website this morning:

Registration for the 2006 WALT DISNEY WORLD® Half Marathon is now closed. Registration is still available for the 2006 WALT DISNEY WORLD® Marathon.

They say the marathon is 91% full.

Does anyone know what full capacity numbers are? Did they increase capacity this year since the two races are on two different dates?

If you can do 5 miles (or are close) and think you can fit 6 workoutsd a week into you schedule most weeks, go for the full, as that was our long run last week. If not, I do not know if I would push it. I think you'll feel worse if you don't finish. JMO.

I had just made the decision that I would not be ready this year and that I would go for 2007, but the idea of signing up for this year anyway was still lurking in my mind. Knowing the half is closed now does take the presure off because there's no way I'm doing the full!

Minnie, glad you made it in! Sorry any of you who were on the fence and had not signed up yet didn't make it. Maybe you can join me in planning now for 2007.
