We are heading to disney ::MickeyMo Friday, December 16. While there we are planning to have my 1 1/2 year old daughter's first hair cut at the Magic Kingdom. I have been told they make it really special at the shop just as you enter the park. Has anyone else had a child's haircut done there? How was the experience? We can't wait to get there.

I havent yet. I plan on having my daughters cut while we are there in 2 weeks. She is so excited about it. :flower:

Hi,
I just had my DS haircut there in October. He was 10 months old and although it wasn't his first haircut I made believe it was. They put stickers on him to keep him occupied and when they were finished he received a certifacate and Mickey ears that said first haircut. They also saved the hair for me in a tissue and put Mickey confetti in it. The haircut wasn't the greatest but it was more for the memories. Enjoy.

DS(11) got a great haircut there. I think the guy to ask for is Michael? although we had someone else and it was fine. I saw them do a girl and it was a bit of a mess. They didn't do much as far as styling the haircut. And they just kind of glopped on the gel for the girl. I would watch to see how one goes before you do it and then pick accordingly. The lines can get long so go early.

Ds (5) and DH both had their hair cut there this July. We had some pixie dust sprinkled in ds's hair and the girls talked DH into having a mickey painted on the back of his head! The girls have long hair and I don't cut it but they put it up in a pony tail and the girls at the barbershop put some pixie dust in it so they were happy.

We had my sons hair cut when we were there in August and they put the blue mickey head in it. You can see it in my signature picture. DS had a blast. I wish we would have done it sooner. Why we waited till he was eight I don't know? :confused3

We just had my dd's hair cut there about 4 weeks ago. (She was 18 months old). We went on a Saturday about noon and waited about 30-40 minutes. It was worth it! They gave her a cute cut- really just a trim and a "shape up". She also got pink mouse ears that had First Haircut embroidered on the back, a certificate, and a cutting of her hair in a napkin with some Mickey confetti- oh and we got a ton of cute pictures of her during the haircut. The girl did cover her with Mickey stickers to keep her still while she cut!
