Disney Golden Oak

When I hit Powerball and win 300 mil, then I would think about it. They are gorgeous homes, though.

There are two resales....

I saw Golden Oaks and then told DH "See, Celebration is a bargain!

Well, I guess I am lucky that I can't afford them because to be honest, I don't really like them. They just are not my style at all. I prefer a simpler, more craftsman type look. These are a bit over the top. There are several homes in the million dollar range that I would drool over and I think it would be neat to live close to WDW, but these houses just don't do it for me. :confused3

I'm in too, if I win the lottery. ONLY if I win the lottery. However, I could just imagine my family, friends and I raising eyebrows in the land of the rich people. Don't think we would have many friends in the neighborhood!

We did a tour of these last year since my DD17 is obsessed to live here. I guess she has a goal now! My thoughts: Some houses were beautiful. Prices are crazy high (and this is compared to NJ where prices and taxes are high). Even if you could afford a $1.8 million dollar home which is on the lower end, you would need AT LEAST $60k a year for property taxes and whatever other fees there are. I forget the name of the Hotel that is on this property, but anyone staying at this hotel has to drive through Golden Oaks to get to the hotel. I would not want to have all of these people driving through my neighborhood all day, everyday. They did block some of the streets though. But, if we did win the lottery, I would consider buying here.
