It is REALLY pretty & I love the pool area & gift shop there. I know you will love it! We have 14 days to go!!! (Technically 13 for you, though, right?) :woohoo::banana::dance3::yay:party::jumping1:

Those are great pictures!! Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! I am so excited.

Yes, it is technically 13 days for me!
:dance3:
Thanks for sharing those POFQ photos, Aprilisis !!!
WOW! Jen and LL are going to have so much fun enjoying the grounds I am sure! Nice photo ops!

Hey, LL, I have always been right there with you and the cream cheese pretzels!!!! VERY tasty! DH and I had a few of those this trip at the MK, and several of the Jalepeno pretzels at AK! WAY yummy!

I can't wait to take pictures of POFQ. Can't wait!

I like that Mickey Mouse shortbread cookie next to the carrot cake cookie! I am a sucker for Mickey head shaped food.

Wanting to add park hoppers is always a dilemma for me, too. I want to, but I balk at the price of doing so. I always wonder if we will get our money's worth from them.

I added the park hoppers in May and didn't hop a single time. We had plans too but then didn't use them. :headache:

I think that if I feel like hopping on my first day then I will add it. If not, then I'll just play it by ear with Jen and I. We have no plans to hop but who knows what will happen when we are actually there.

We had them last June and never hopped. I think I might want them in July since we won't be there as long, and we may need them to fit everything in...

Hey LL. Carrot Cake Cookie? That sounds great.

Good luck on finding characters at the Teardrop. I haven't had much luck finding characters there over the years, but I've heard that January is usually one of the best times to find characters there, so hopefully you'll find some. Lately, I've had really good luck finding random characters at the exit to the Characters Connection in EPCOT around 10am. Marie was there in August and I found a few really cool ones there in December (I won't say who so I don't spoil the surprise in my TR).

I've had the carrot cake cookie and it was delicious. I have to admit though I'm with CP. That chocolate dipped shortbread cookie is making my mouth water a bit! :)

I love carrot cake (especially with LOTS of cream cheese frosting). Great MK day plan. If I was there solo I would start out there. Are you looking for any particular characters this year?

We always get the park hopper. We like being able to take a break in the afternoon and head over to a second park later in the day. I don't know if I'd last a whole day in one park! :scared1:

Happy New Year!!

Well, we won't be fighting over any snacks. Cream cheese pretzel, corn dog nuggets, carrot cake cookie... all yours, my friend. :)

As for park hopper, I couldn't imagine not having it but it all depends on your touring style. Nothing wrong with waiting and seeing how you're feeling. Can you upgrade on the spot or do you have to decide before you go?

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

The carrot cake cookie and the Mickey head shortbread cooking look delish! I just put Writer's Stop on my list for August. Can you use a snack credit for those?

Flexibilty and being able to just do whatever you want is so great. I agree with waiting to add the park hopper. You don't want to add something that will be a big waste of money. We have the hoppers right now and I'm actually debating adding the water park option, but I don't know if I can justify over $200 more to an already pricey package. I miss the days when the hopper was included in a multiday ticket and all tickets never expired. I wonder if Disney will ever bring that back.

I see you are staying at POFQ. You can have a look-see at my pictures in my POFQ review (link in my signature) :goodvibes

I love the way you do your itineraries. Every time you update gives me motivation to start on my itinerary. Happy New Year!

Yumm..another carrot cake fan here, and the cookie looks yummy..so does the shortbread one, which I hadn't noticed until someone mentioned it, lol.

Hooray for spending the day at MK! Maybe I'm sappy, but I can't imagine going anywhere else our first day.

My vote is for hopping over to Epcot...

not that I get a vote!! :lmao:

But, Epcot is where we'll be two weeks from Today!!! WOOO!!!
:dance3: :yay:

As far as park hoppers go in general, I love them when I'm on a trip with all adults, but I have yet to hop when taking the kids. I just like the streamlined-ness of each day being ONE park. Course we've had a week to do all the parks twice if need be, except AK. Sorry if there are any AK lovers... but just not our fave park by far.

However, for shorter trips, park hoppers are a must-do imho!

Can't wait to see where y'all will be two weeks from tomorrow!

 I'll most likely be at Epcot on the 14th, too!!!

Oh my goodness, I have not been on here in forever and I have missed a ton. Your about to go to Disney and I almost missed the entire thing. Lets just say life has been a little crazy for me the last several months. I am so excited for you-I need a little Disney in my life!!!

Now I am going to spend my day off tomorrow catching up on this thread!!

We had them last June and never hopped. I think I might want them in July since we won't be there as long, and we may need them to fit everything in...
I don't think I'd add them until I actually wanted to hop, I think you can add them at anytime to your ticket.

I think Jen and maybe even Paula have had luck in the Teardrop within the last year. I figure I'll check it out to see.

You know, I saw characters outside of the connection too in May. I can't remember who I saw but they were there around that time too I think.

I've had the carrot cake cookie and it was delicious. I have to admit though I'm with CP. That chocolate dipped shortbread cookie is making my mouth water a bit! :)
Shortbread cookies don't do it for me. I think it's so funny what kind of food people like, all different kinds for sure!

I love carrot cake (especially with LOTS of cream cheese frosting). Great MK day plan. If I was there solo I would start out there. Are you looking for any particular characters this year?
I do like carrot cake, I'm intrigued by the cookie. I'm glad I can share it with Jen.

I think the biggest characters on my list are Princess Tiana, Ariel and the characters from Up if they are still at Hollywood Studios.

We always get the park hopper. We like being able to take a break in the afternoon and head over to a second park later in the day. I don't know if I'd last a whole day in one park! :scared1:

Happy New Year!!
I normally do like to get a break and start fresh at another park but I wasn't sure of finances so Jen & I didn't plan that way. We'll see what happens. We like throwing plans out the window it seems when we actually get to Disney. :rotfl2:

Well, we won't be fighting over any snacks. Cream cheese pretzel, corn dog nuggets, carrot cake cookie... all yours, my friend. :)

Really? Have you tried the cream cheese pretzel?? If you haven't....you have too...just once...for me?? :rolleyes1

Yes, you can upgrade whenever you want too. I'm leaning towards the upgrade since Jen will have it and if I want to hop that solo day, it makes sense.

Jen,

MMM...carrot cake and cream cheese frosting...nothing like it.

LL,

Park hop fo sho.
I'm leaning towards it fo sho.

I'm assuming it's a snack credit but I don't know for sure.

I am going to wait on the hopper, but I think I will do it. I miss those days too! I don't think Disney will ever go back to that though....:sad2:

I will go check out those pictures for sure, thanks! Once I start with the itineraries....I can't stop.

I agree! I love MK on the first day, it's such a great way to start. Though the last two trips I started at Epcot.

My vote is for hopping over to Epcot...

Well geez! I suppose I might have to do it then.
