Disney Gives Us the Warm Fuzzies - Take Two. TRIP REPORT HAS BEGUN! 1/20 Pg. 92

I'd like to know what is in the Zebra Domes too. All I know is Jackie lets her kids eat them for breakfast!

Talk about a cool mom...

23 Days until Disney World Warm Fuzzies.

Finally, we've come to something from our Mystery ADR.

This is another dessert Jen picked out that she wants to try and as nothing really tickled my fancy on the Marrakesh dessert menu, we decided to try this and split it.

Marrakesh Delight

MarrakeshDelight.jpg

Allears describes it as "fresh fruit salad topped with mint ice cream, toasted almonds and orange blossom water."

Doesn't that sound delightful and refreshing? Sounds quite exotic to me!! I can't wait to give it a try!!! I'm very much looking forward to trying this new place!!

Hmmmnn....not so sure about that one. Will be very interested to hear what you both think!

Hmmmm that is an interesting dessert indeed. Well...it has ice cream and that would make anything taste good! It does sound refreshing though :thumbsup2 I am really hard pressed to find anything I terribly dislike to eat at Disney! :rotfl:

Oooo all these desserts look great. Zebra Domes are great. Never tried the Marrakesh Delight though. Usually at the Morocco restaurants I gravitate to the baklava, but thar looks and soulds delicious.

I tried zebra domes on my recent trip - fab!!!
They are sort of sponge-y inside, like a light cake, but moist, maybe soaked in something. no ice cream involved, but they were refrigerated - I assume because they can get melty. I detected a hint of coffee taste, but DH didn't notice. Of course, he didn't savor it like I did! Then they are coated in chocolate/white chocolate. As a friend of mine says it was "scrumpulescent"! I'd definitely go back for more!! I think somewhere in AK should sell them as a dessert.

The pics of your family are wonderful. You all look so much alike! Hope you have a wonderful holiday!!

Wow, girls... that ice cream looks, um... interesting! ;)
Hey- I'm leaving for WDW tomorrow! And I thought I would ask you two about something I'm unsure of, since you are the experts!!!!
We want to buy annual passes when we get there. We've always done this at a park- HOWEVER- we're staying at the Beach Club, and want to walk over to the world showcase after checking in, b/c we have a lunch ADR at Mexico. So, I guess my question is, can you buy your park ticket at the hotel? and if not, are you able to buy a park ticket from the back entrance to the world showcase? :confused3

LL,
I have gotten so behind! Now that I am done with teaching for a couple of weeks I will have time to catch up again. You look fabulous! I can tell a difference in every picture you post. Your hair looks great too!:cutie:

I remember reading somewhere that there is Kahlua in the zebra domes..yummmmmmmy! The Marrakesh delight looks...interesting..if not delightful, lol. It's the orange blossom water I wouldn't be sure about, I'll be anxious to hear what you thought :)

I felt like CP going to DIS confessional. No I have not tried the zebra domes. I am surely going to not pass up again.
:lmao: I love the term DIS confessional.

I thought you would all love the sound of this. I guess it's more exotic sounding but I'm willing to try almost anything once. :thumbsup2

Eeeehhh, I don't like coffee! I hope it's not too strong!

Thank you! I hope you have a great one too!

Marrakesh Delight sounds like the perfect light, but sweet dessert!
That is what I'm thinking!

I'm pretty sure that you can buy tickets at the back entrance. I'm not 100% sure though. :confused3

Mmmmm, kahlua!

The dessert from Marrakesh sounds really interesting. Not interesting in a bad way. ;)

I really like the group picture of you and your family! You and your mom look SO much alike, it's really cute. You are looking fantastic, by the way. :thumbsup2

I'm getting a complex about this dessert. :rotfl2:

Thank you on the picture! What's funny is that when I was little I looked just like my Dad but now I'm my Mom through and through. It's weird to see pictures of her when she was younger...SCARY!

Re: zebra domes I don't like coffee either blech. It is very subtle. :)
Okay, good! I'm excited again now!

that dessert looks good, but deadly to me....;)
TMI! :lmao: :rotfl::rotfl2:

Leslie, the Marrakesh Delight does sound very refreshing!

Laura, I love the term DIS confessional, too! :rotfl:
I'm hoping it is. :thumbsup2

Even though today is 22 days until I see Jen, it's technically THREE WEEKS until I leave for Disney. :dance3: I am so excited!!! Next week, when we've reached the two week countdown I am going to do the "In Two Weeks, We'll be...." updates along with the food.

22 Days until Disney World Warm Fuzzies.

We debated a bit about what we would want to eat for snacks/lunch on our Animal Kingdom Day. We thought about Flame Tree BBQ but that is the only place I have ever eaten at AK and while it is good, I want to try something different. Neither of us were feeling Pizzafari so what does that lead us too?

Yak N' Yeti Counter Service! Mmmmm.....Egg Rolls.

EggrollsfromYY.jpg

Can I just say it makes me just a bit sad I won't be getting my fried wontons this trip!!! However these eggrolls look divine!!! I can't wait until AK day...EE at night here we come!!!

Allison and I have an ADR for fried wontons on Feb 3rd.... wanna join us??

Even at 8:30 am those egg rolls look delicious!!

See, I would douse the fries in ranch. I love almost anything with ranch dressing. It's a bad habit! You know what my favorite ranch combo is? BBQ chicken dipped in ranch. HEAVEN!

BBQ chicken dipped in ranch sounds very, very good! Kinda like the hot wings in blue cheese...yum.

Your beignets picture makes me VERY excited for our New Orleans portion of vacation....I think they are like a light donut. And you just can't beat that. Especially with a cup of coffee. Drool. :yay:

I am super excited to eat Zebra Domes as well. I haven't had one since 2006, so I can't really remember the taste very well. I read they don't sell them at Kidani though. :sad2: It will be worth the trek to Jambo!

And the Taste of Africa....yes, that looks delicious. Hummus + pita bread. Mmmm...

I am very glad I ate breakfast BEFORE reading your thread this morning.

And I'm happy to provide food pictures, snag away! :goodvibes

YUM all your food pictures look so good! And speaking of looking good, missy! You look fabulous. 50 lbs... good for you!!

Saw someone asked about the International Gateway entrance... yes, you can buy park tickets there! :thumbsup2
