Disney Gives Us the Warm Fuzzies - Take Two. TRIP REPORT HAS BEGUN! 1/20 Pg. 92

I forgot to mention this last night!

You and Marc look absolutely FAB-U-LOUS!!! I see such a huge difference in you!!! I think you see the difference more in Marc because of what he's wearing and maybe your being a teeny bit critical of yourself :rolleyes1

You both doing such an amazing thing and it's great that your doing it together!!!!

I am days and days behind, but I love your MK plans! And that cream cheese pretzel - I absolutely MUST get one in May. I neglected to get one in September and just the sound of it is making my stomach rumble!

So glad things are moving along in the planning department. I promise to keep up better in the future. This is the first chance I've had to Dis at work in about 2 weeks. Can you believe it?????

Great MK plans! I have never eaten at the Plaza but the reviews I have seen have all been very good.:thumbsup2 I have never had a cream cheese pretzle but now I am intrigued. I love cheese danishes so I am thinking it might be similar.

I'm on it!!!

I somehow missed the post about clothes for Jan! When we were in WDW last January 3rd-12th it was actually warm. Like 75 to 85 degrees! It was pretty cool in the mornings and evenings though. I know shortly after we came home it got very cool in FL. FL in the winter seems to be fickle! It changes day to day! I think the layered thing will work fabulously for that!

Your plans look great!!! One suggesting though...

You should go to MK on the 16th!! Just saying, cause it's another diser last day in WDW and she would love to met you guys ;)
:rotfl2: I'll have to PM you to see if we can squeeze in a meet for sure!

Your plans are looking so great!!! And way to be brave on Space Mountain, go you! :thumbsup2

Your Christmas tree is beautiful - and cute! I took pictures of ours too, but haven't posted them yet anywhere. We have a TEENY little tree, but I like it. :goodvibes

You and Marc are both looking great! Congratulations on the continued weight loss! Have you gotten your Cons yet?

I think this was all answered, but in case it hasn't - we have used ME late at night. We arrived around 11:30 pm I believe. It was not a problem. We just carried our luggage to ME and everything ran like normal. There was a tad of a wait on the bus since they waited for more people to come and they made more stops than normal it seemed to accommodate the passengers, but the ride went smooth and bonus - NO line to check in at the resort. ;)
I have not gotten my Converse yet. My mom is going to be giving me the money for them, she is convinced they are going to be too small for my feet. She's nuts. :rotfl2:

I'm glad to hear feedback on ME that late at night. I think I've solved my luggage problem...but you will have to wait until the next update for that. :rotfl2:

I missed the clothing post for January too....:confused3 when we were there in later January 2008 it was COLD! Very cold! All the news channels were reporting about it being one of the coldest times in FL's history, and all the oranges were freezing. We were walking around MK with hats and mittens on.

However, after a few days of that it warmed up and was very nice after that - mid 70s.

January is pretty unpredictable from what I have read/experienced. I second the layering thing and bring pants and shorts - be prepared for it all.
I'm bringing mittens and a scarf. I'm layering with tees, long sleeved tees and hoodies. I think that will be good for me. If not, I'll buy more layers. :3dglasses

Thank you! You are probably right that I'm being critical of myself. I'm just too hard on myself when it comes to all of this, I never think I'm doing good enough. :rolleyes1

Yes, you must get one in May, you don't know what you have been missing!

I can't believe that! What's up with being busy at work?

You must have one, I promise you won't be disappointed. It's so very delicious. The pretzel filling is pretty similar to a cheese danish...I love those too!

Hey Everyone!

This weekend was my Mom's Annual Cookie Day Party. It was a lot of fun...although some of the girls are getting into their pre-teen years and they was some tension between them and their Mom's wanting to help. Mom has decided that next year she's putting the Moms in the living room with wine while the kids decorate. I plan to be in the living with the wine. :rotfl2:

I didn't take as many pictures because I was busy decorating but the houses are super cute!

My house! You can't see my sublime back wall which was made ALL of M&M's. :cool2:

After Cookie Day, we went out to dinner with my parents for their birthdays then to see Disney's A Christmas Carol.

The 3D was amazing. I'm glad there was no little little kids in the audience because it was intense in some parts. There was one ghost of Christmas that kinda freaked me out but overall it was a really good movie.

Saw a wonderful preview of Alice in Wonderland, it looks amazing. Can't wait for March. Then I saw a preview of The Princess and the Frog and can't believe it comes out on Friday! I am so excited.

Cookie day looks like such fun! Your house came out great. But, I'm with you, next year I'd vote for the wine!

Glad you had such a fun, holiday-themed weekend! :santa:

The houses look great! I was going to let Brooklynn try one this year, but I'm not sure if one kit is any better than the other. Do you happen to have any pictures of the boxes or know what brand they were? I thought she would enjoy making one herself and then seeing some in Disney World later this month.

It's probably better for the moms to be in another room. This should be the girls' thing and the creativity their own. :)

:rotfl2: I know - I worked my butt off last week. I actually enjoyed it. It was fun, although a bit exhausting. I am much more productive when I am busy!

I checked your dates, because I am getting the urge to take a quick trip in January, but you guys are going over a holiday weekend. The flights are horrendous. I checked the price for Jan 18th - Jan 22nd and a room at ASMu is like $57 a night. That plus a $155 RT trip flight. Wow! I am seriously thinking about a solo trip! You guys leave the 19th...right? Hmmmmmmmm! Something to think about!

What cute gingerbread houses! I can't wait until Harper is old enough to make one...:goodvibes

The houses are SO cute! I am totally in the mood to make one now. This might be a silly question, but do I spy strawberry frosted mini wheats on your house? I'm just curious because I never would have thought to use those as decorations, but they look awesome! I love the little trees with the houses, too, especially the fact that they are decorated.

I'm dying to see A Christmas Carol. I'm hoping to be able to drag my B/F to Reading because I want to see it in 3D, too. My friend said the same as you, that it was a little intense in some parts, but I truly love all the various versions of A Christmas Carol and I really want to see this.

Your house is super cute!! My DH just walked by and he said it was cool. I heard that A Christmas Carol had some scary parts. I am so excited for The Princess and the Frog and Alice in Wonderland.:goodvibes

Mom has tried many different kits and she really liked these ones this year. I don't have a picture of the box but I know she got them at Walgreens. You have to put them together with the frosting it comes with but then Mom suggests buying different cake/cupcake frosting to actually decorate because it's easier for the kids to use.

The girls are usually are fine with Mom sitting next to them but some of the Moms this year were a little pushy with their opinions. It was pretty tense with the two sitting next to me. :rolleyes1

Yes, we are leaving the 19th early in the morning. You really should do a quick little trip, MEK! I'm assuming that ASMu rate is the 30% discounted one?

PS..... I love your cookie house ...so cute!
Thank you!

What cute gingerbread houses! I can't wait until Harper is old enough to make one...:goodvibes
The youngest little one this year just turned two, she was freaking adorable. She kept going to everyone else's house to decorate instead of her own. Her mom was freaking about all the candy she was eating but my Mom says no Moms are allowed to tell kids no when it comes to eating the candy. It's a rule. :rotfl2:

I feel like the Big Bad Wolf...I just want to take a bite out of all the houses.....
They are not as yummy as they look. :rotfl2:

Yes those are mini frosted wheats! I saw them in the Food Network magazine and requested them. I wanted to do my whole roof but I thought I wouldn't be selfish so the others can use them....but no one else did.

I bet you will love A Christmas Carol! :santa:

It was a lot of fun! It was a little scary in some parts but it was good to see. The 3D was Ahhhhh-MAZING!

I love the gingerbread houses...I so want to make one...:thumbsup2

I'm glad you mentioned that the Christmas Carol was scary...I was thinking of taking David...but it sounds like it might be a bit much for him...I think I still with Fantastic Mr. Fox for now...

There are very few events that aren't made better by the addition of a little wine...:lmao:

Cookie Day!!! Hurray!!! Your gingerbread house is absolutely delightful!

The moms sequestered with wine sounds like a very smart idea.

Neither of my children wanted to see A Christmas Carol because they thought it looked scary from the previews, but we will be seeing The Princess and the Frog next weekend! Can. Not. Wait.

I would stick with Fantastic Mr. Fox for sure. I really want to go see that one too but haven't made it there yet.

I'm so excited for The Princess and the Frog too. I'm waiting to buy my tickets hoping that they release more showtimes. I want to go as early in the morning as I can on Saturday.

Did you watch that special on ABC on Friday? They showed a bunch of clips and it got me really excited. I'm still a little confused on the actual storyline but it looks amazing.

We're planning for the first show on Sunday. It's usually less crowded than the other weekend shows.

I missed the special on Friday -- I didn't even know about it until yesterday when I was writing down all the other Christmas shows I don't want to miss. I was so disappointed.
