Disney Gives Us the Warm Fuzzies - Take Two. TRIP REPORT HAS BEGUN! 1/20 Pg. 92

Oh, I hope you get to meet Princess Tiana!!! :goodvibes

I am very impressed that you are going to ride Space Mountain. Go, LL!

You've never been to the Grand Floridian???

I love the cookie party! It's going to be so much fun. I'm so excited that I get to decorate my own house. Usually I just sit there watching everyone else have fun.

I've been listening to Christmas music too. In fact, MeMom...have you seen the new Disney Princess Christmas album? It's so adorable. I bet your girls would love it! It has the Princesses singing carols. Ariel sings two island themed songs, Pocahontas sings Silver & Gold, Mulan sings Holly & Ivy, and then there are some other ones too. My very favorite is the 12 Days of Christmas though sung by all of the Princesses!

Bought it in Disney World, as a matter of fact.
I've just started listening to it, but I'll know the words to the island Christmas song before too long! :)

I tried posting last night but my browser decided to crap out. You and Marc look GREAT! :thumbsup2

I love your Christmas tree and all your decorations. I can't wait to start putting up ours. I still have the lights up in my room, only because it takes so long to put them up and take them down, so I've been plugging them in for a little while every night since Thanksgiving.

I am with Jen, BTMRR is AWESOME at night. I love the lighting...so cool!

That really is a beautiful Christmas tree you have! And it is very nicely decorated!

I love this tradition of the cookie making your mother has. I think it is small events like that which make Christmas time special. :goodvibes

And your plans look great, sounds like a fun day at the MK! :thumbsup2 I don't know wether you follow any plans, but the main MK touring plan from the unofficial guide starts with Space Mountain, then has you walk through Fantasyland, picking up the low capacity rides there and then has you continuing on to BTMRR and Splash. It really has worked well for me in the past and doesn't have too much running from here to there. BTMRR is actually still very manageable in the mornings until around 11 I think. :thumbsup2

I've been MIA and hadn't realized you were getting to go again this January. What great news. A short disney trip has a different feel to it. There seems to be less down time but it's still all good. After all it's Disney.

Love the tree. Very good advice about avoiding glass ornament. Hope you have fun decorating cookies. I just had 7 grade 6 girls in my house for a gingerbread decorating house birthday party. I was pooped afterwards. They were hyped up on sugar. But I think a good time was had by all. I'm sure your party will be a little less hyper.

LL, I think your itineraries look great!!! How fun you were able to get The Plaza in! And a few bites of a CreamCheese Pretzel is worth it!!!! :thumbsup2

SPACE MOUNTAIN!!!! I am so thrilled to get back on this one in a few weeks!!! My DS7 will be so excited when he realizes that we are going to Disney and that SM is OPEN!!!!! :goodvibes

I am so impressed with your plans, they seem really enjoyable!

Awww, love your decorations! I can't believe it's almost Christmas time! Have you been doing some shopping on the Disney Shopping website? I thought I recognized that little Mickey stuffed animal from on there. haha

Nice looking MK plans. Here's hoping that you'll be able to enjoy your meals without too many problems. The Plaza seems like a great choice. I loved it when we went last year. Sounds like Jen's really looking forward to it.

Never been to the GF?? :faint: Must rectify that!

Love your lists. We share many of the same favorites. I am looking forward to the CoP, Hall of Presidents (can't believe I didn't do that in Sept!), Treehouse etc. I'm a bit leery of Space Mountain. I'm a big wimp. We'll see.

Love that the cream cheese pretzel made your list. Enjoy every bite you take!

I think you will both LOVE The Plaza! Wish I was eating there in December.

Hurrah for getting every ADR you wanted but one. I don't know what one you couldn't get. Le Cellier?

Leslie and Jen, the plans look great! You are going to have so much fun, it looks like a very full day!
I hope you are able to make the monorail loop and stop off and visit the Poly and GF.
It's worth a bit of time to take a look around!

Well, I figure if Space Mountain didn't kill me before the refurb that it's only gotten safer right? :rotfl2:

I have never been! Can you believe that? I'm afraid I'll go in there and never want to leave.

Thanks! I love decorating for Christmas. I think BTMRR will be really cool at night, I can't wait to try it out.

I love cookie day, it is a very nice tradition. I think everyone who goes really looks forward to it every year.

That sounds like a good idea touring wise, Space Mountain and then fantasyland, what do you think Jen?

Yes, I do get to go again! Yay! I'm okay with the shorter trip, I think it will be nice to see how it all works out.

I'm nervous for Space Mountain....it intimidates me. Even though I've been on it before. :rolleyes1

I got the little Stuffed Mickey at the Disney Store actually. Isnt' he cute? I was just loving all the Christmas themed stuffed animals!

The Plaza's menu seems really good, I am hoping to have the tuna salad on a croissant. That sounds really yummy!

Yes, we couldn't get Le Cellier. But what did we decide to go with?? :confused3

I really want to go to GF while we are there, just to peek!

It is going to be a very busy trip but I'm hoping that I can make it through and just recover when I'm back to work. :rotfl2:

Oooo...I love your tree...so cute...it has personalities...(I think all trees have their own personalities...I want to name them but them it's just to said when they have to go...)

Your intinerary looks like so much fun and you go girl on Space Mountain...(Space Mountain is so much fun and then you get to feel all proud of yourself that you rode it...:thumbsup2)

You are going to love the GF...

Go Concord...:woohoo:

You are looking good...:thumbsup2

OK, I started with your first PTR then got wayyyy behind from being gone in October.. So i am selfishly glad that you started a new one with Jen! LOL I cannot wait to try space mountain at christmas time  Although, I am a little sad that I won't be seeing the old 80's video of ppl riding in the beginning where the warning signs are :sad2: Oh, and I'm glad that the cream cheese pretzel made your list LOL!!!

Geeze! I'm woefully behind after being away from Dis for almost a week!!! YIKES! Talk about withdrawal!! Gotta catch up now ;)

I love your tree & decorations! You are looking fantastic, by the way. How are you feeling?
I'll be at the MK on the 17th for EMH, but I will be arriving late. Hopefully I'll run into you guys!

Thanks on weight loss comment! I'm having a rough week so it's nice to read that! :goodvibes

I'm feeling pretty good, the last week or so has been really hard mentally on the diet so I'm just trying to get myself back on track.

I hope we run into you!

I'm on it!!!

I somehow missed the post about clothes for Jan! When we were in WDW last January 3rd-12th it was actually warm. Like 75 to 85 degrees! It was pretty cool in the mornings and evenings though. I know shortly after we came home it got very cool in FL. FL in the winter seems to be fickle! It changes day to day! I think the layered thing will work fabulously for that!

Your plans look great!!! One suggesting though...

You should go to MK on the 16th!! Just saying, cause it's another diser last day in WDW and she would love to met you guys ;)

Your plans are looking so great!!! And way to be brave on Space Mountain, go you! :thumbsup2

Your Christmas tree is beautiful - and cute! I took pictures of ours too, but haven't posted them yet anywhere. We have a TEENY little tree, but I like it. :goodvibes

You and Marc are both looking great! Congratulations on the continued weight loss! Have you gotten your Cons yet?

Has anyone used Magical Express that late at night? Anything I need to know about it? (Yes please I'm curious about this too LOL)

I think this was all answered, but in case it hasn't - we have used ME late at night. We arrived around 11:30 pm I believe. It was not a problem. We just carried our luggage to ME and everything ran like normal. There was a tad of a wait on the bus since they waited for more people to come and they made more stops than normal it seemed to accommodate the passengers, but the ride went smooth and bonus - NO line to check in at the resort. ;)

I missed the clothing post for January too....:confused3 when we were there in later January 2008 it was COLD! Very cold! All the news channels were reporting about it being one of the coldest times in FL's history, and all the oranges were freezing. We were walking around MK with hats and mittens on.

However, after a few days of that it warmed up and was very nice after that - mid 70s.

January is pretty unpredictable from what I have read/experienced. I second the layering thing and bring pants and shorts - be prepared for it all.
