LL, I'm sorry your trip has been cancelled. I'll reiterate what everyone has said.... Being a grown up can really stink sometimes but you've made a very tough decision that you'll feel great about in the long run.

The tentative plan is for Marc & I to go back in December 2011. Hopefully with baby. We'll see. We've talked about maybe trying to fit in a solo October 2010 trip for me or even maybe a November 2010 trip the two of us. It all depends on what happens for us between now and then!

Sounds like a good plan. I'll be going down next Oct. for the new 1/2 marathon and for Harry Potter, so if you decieded on a solo trip there might be some others down there then. I'm hoping that the Boardwalk is one of their discounted resorts for the race, so it it was we'd probably have room for one more in the room.

Thank you! I know in the long run I will feel good. Heck, I already do. I was getting so stressed out when all that new financial stuff popped up.

I have to say that I am very surprised about your news. I'm sort-of in shock. I'm so sorry that this happened and you had to cancel. So strange, because my coworker, who is a DVC owner, just told me she is canceling her December trip because of lack of finances. So, you are definately not alone. There will always be more trips in your future and concentrating on your family, your health, and your finances is the priority.

I'm trying to do what is best for us financially right now. It's hard because I wanted this trip so badly but I think everything will work out for the best.

I think I"m going too! I will try to start it this weekend. I have lots of Holiday things I was planning on sharing so now I can still do it if I have a thread on the community board!

Doing the right thing doesn't always feel right.

I'm about to come to that same decision. My kid's dance studio is participating in a competition in Orlando in July. I'd love to take them. They'd love to go. But not only is the timing wrong there is the financial angle as well. Sometimes being a grown up sucks.

p.s. I think Paula is showing us that she can break the PTR curse, because that's what her TR is.....a PTR in disguise!

Well, I'm sure I'll still talk Disney but I'm just not ready to commit yet. I want to make sure nothing is going to cancel the next trip I take before I start another PTR.
