Disney Giftcard ?

I had bought a $100 giftcard at Sam's Club (had intended to buy many but never did) and I forgot to use it on our recent trip.

Can I only use it for Disney travel or can I use it to shop on the Disney shopping website?

Yes, you can use it on their website. Go to ebates.com and shop from them on there and you can earn extra $$ back too

So quick question. What did you pay for the gift card. Was it something like $80 for a $100 gift card or did you actually pay $100. I know Costco did discounted tickets to universal and was wondering if this was the same idea???

It was like $98.50 or something but also came with a $10 Disneystore giftcard.

I buy disney gift cards from the grocery store and there is no savings on them but I do get gas rewards. I pay for most of my trip this way.

This has been my strategy for the past 2 years. I am no good at saving $$$ long term, something always comes up. this time, i have $300 for disney just from snagging a $50 card every couple of shopping trips!!!

Celine, I think most supermarkets or drugstores have gift card kiosks where you might find DGCs. They sell fast, though; I don't ALWAYS see them...

At least in my area Sam's SOLD gift cards but not now.

For us it was a holiday promotion. Some areas seemed to have them forever but all my local Sam's were out around February.

So you have to check around, but the way they roll out Xmas in mid September they may start popping up again.

I purchased a couple at my Sams. I paid $98.97 for $110 worth of Disney! I used the free $10 card to buy myself a Jack Skellington shirt. It was on clearance for $10 + free shipping, so all I paid was tax!

And like the others said, it can be used on the DisneyStore website.

Before anyone asks, the bonus $10 card can only be used in a Disney Store or Disney Store online.

There is nowhere on property you can use the bonus card.

Thanks everyone. As a note, my Sam's club had them at Christmas- then didn't-then got them back. THey still had some as of last week.

Who knows- maybe that Dooney & Bourke is possible now

I also did the Disney gift card thing from Sam's. We bought 18 of them for $98.50-ish each and paid for our trip and wound up with $180 in FREE gift cards for the Disney Store (and they are getting ready to open a BRAND NEW ONE in STL)...its almost as awesome as the day I found out they have Dole Whip at the STL Zoo

I have been buying these up too. They have some left at one of our Sam's and they seem to be leftover from last Christmas. I hope they do bring them back because we have 4 families going and I don't think they have enough for all of us to use for our trip.

Off topic- slmcdrew- I am from STL too, where do they have dole whips at the zoo? I am there all the time, but have never seen these!
