I won some Disney gift cards from a local radio station recently......perfect timing for our upcoming trip!

Can I use them to pay for OOP meals, or snacks? Even at snack kiosks?
Or would it be easier to charge with our band, and then go to the front desk and pay it off?Can I do that with a gift card?
Or, can I preload our "spending account" with the gift card?

I always charge to the resort and than go down to the front desk every few days with my GC to pay. I find it easier that way. Also, you can’t preload GCs into your account. They won’t do it.

We have used them to pay for meals & snacks. Every snack kiosk/ cart we used accepted them , but I have read there are a few exceptions.
You can use your Magic Band then pay off using the gift cards at the front desk. You just want to be sure to do it before you reach the CC limit & they charge your CC.
Unless something has recently changed you cannot load them onto your Magic Band.
Just a FYI , we have used them at third party restaurants at Disney in addition to Disney owned restaurants. I alway asked when we got seated just to be sure.

On a recent trip we used them at all sorts of kiosks and QS stands. I know there are a few exceptions but we didn't run into any of them along the way. We'd rather not have to check out or go to the front desk if we don't have to - we find the lines are often long.

If you go to disneygiftcard.com you can combine them into one card up to $1000 (if you have more than that, just select 2 or 3 or whatever to combine them). That way you're not having to remember which ones you've used, etc.

I believe there are some kiosks that don't take them...but I'm not positive on that. Better to ask before just to be safe.

Also, gift cards cannot be used with mobile ordering.

I’ve found some of the non-Disney run restaurants especially in Disney Springs get annoyed if you use a Disney gift card. They will still accept them, but it seems to be some sort of huge hassle for them. Apparently they have to use a different machine or method than they ordinarily do if it is a Disney gift card. Changing with the magic band is never a problem.
