Yes. Your travel agent will take the numbers from the gift cards to submit to DCL for payment.

Beware if your TA requires you to pay them directly, and says they will then pay DCL. Most good TAs only act as a middleman for payments.

^^^ exactly as Shmoo stated. We paid our entire cruise thru a TA with Disney gift cards. I did combine them though beforehand. The max I could combine onto one card was $1000 online. Also, save the gift cards in case something happens and you have to cancel the cruise before PIF as they will reimburse you exactly the way you paid (only stating this from my experience).

I just paid for my whole cruise this way. It worked well. I have the DCL reciept showing I'm PIF. My TA warned me to hang on the the GCs as well. She don't get rid of them until after the trip. I added enough to pre pay tip as well.

As mentioned some TA's will ask for payment directly to their agency. In that case they won't accept Disney GC's. Some agencies collect money from their clients and then send an agency check to the cruise line for payments. In those cases you can't use them.

Yes, you need to hang onto them because if there is any kind of refund it will go back to the cards in the reverse order they were applied (last one first). So unless you know what order she used them, you'll have to go through all of them to see which got the refund. In the future you can combine them on disneygiftcard.com

I put my gift cards in my Disney vacation account and pay dcl directly (not supposed to give your DVA number to a TA).

We paid with Disney Gift Cards through Costco. Saved by buying them at target, then paid through the agent. They take down the numbers, pop you on hold, and call disney, then when they are off they confirm that the card payments went through. We consolidated all of the cards to several main ones on DisneyGiftCard.com.

Also--keep your cards once you've paid (hence why we consolidated them up to $1000 and reloaded them) because if they refund you for some reason they do it to the original payment method (those gift cards).

It was a bit of a pain but we saved hundreds by getting the Disney cards at %5 off, and then we get the Costco card afterwards.
