Can Disney gift cards be used in all or most restaurants and gift shops throughout Disney?

I worried that we wouldnt be able to use all the gift cards we had...but we did...food and gifts for everyone... we found one when we came home ..and gave it to our grandkids that were going for their second anniversary...

This is our first time going since Magic Bands. So, if we charge stuff to our room with bands, we can pay the resort with the gift cards?

Yes you can pay your balance with gift cards at the resort. I do it all the time.

Just be sure to pay at the resort with them daily (each evening). Otherwise you run the risk of your cc being charged for things you were hoping to pay off with gift cards.

Just be sure that they are not Disney Store gift cards!....those are only for merchandise at stores. The cards says what they can be used for. Also, you can use it to pay off your balance at a hotel, if you are staying onsite and charging to a magicband.

I just double checked the cards I have. They all say good at Disney resort, theme parks, etc! Yay!

I asked the front desk what our room charge credit limit was, and he assured me that as long as you are under the limit, you don't have to see them daily to pay it off. We were on the DDP, so we only charged tips (which definitely can add up!) and miscellaneous, smaller items to our room. The larger purchases at the Disney stores were paid by my Disney VISA, because I wanted to take advantage of the 10% discount. I used my Disney GCs and the Disney Rewards card toward my room balance, and we only had a remaining amount of $80 or so to be charged to the CC on file.

Disney gift cards cannot be used at the restaurants and stores in the Swan and Dolphin (except at the Disney gift shop in the lobby).

Actually you can have up to 5 cards with only $1000 on each.

You don't have to save the cards. The limit of five is only how many cards you want to actively manage.

Yes...also, you can use Starbucks gift cards at those locations and Landry's gift cards will work at Yak & Yeti (quick and table service) in Animal Kingdom. I mention that because from time to time you can ind Landry's on sale at restauraunt.com or many people can use debit card/credit card points to purchase Landry's as well. Same goes for Landry's at T-Rex and Rainforest Cafe.
