Disney Gift Cards

Does anyone know if you secure your Disney reservation with a cc, can you pay your bill upon arrival (still leaving a cc for incidentals) with Disney Gift Cards?

We have a grocery store that sells Disney gift cards and allows us to earn "fuel perks" to purchase gasoline. I was thinking that I could earn those perks and maybe buy a gift card each payday thereby having money for my trip AND discounted gas. Or does your trip need to be paid in full prior to your arrival?

You can use Gift cards to pay for Disney trip but:
If pkg. it needs paid off 45 days prior to arrival YOu can call and apply Gift cards.

If room only you need to pay upon arrival but I reccomend paying off before you arrive even if it's day before you can still use gift cards.

Hmmm...so each payday I could buy a gift card then come home and call and have it applied to my pending package? Can I do it online as well? That sounds even better then stashing them all up until the trip.

I was able to apply Disney gift cards to my package online. I do believe that they had to be at least $20 or $25 in value to be used. I don't recall.

Are you also able to use them for food at the resorts for character dining?

I believe you can use them for anything, but be sure to keep them because if for any reason you can't go and cancel the trip the money will be applied back to the gift cards.
