I will be getting$500 gift card with my next WDW holiday due to a complaint I made last year when I booked the trip. As we are going in November I was hoping to use the card to buy some gifts.

My nephew loves Lego and I'm planning to get him some, butcan I use the care in the DTD Lego shop?

I would guess not as it is not a Disney owned shop - Disney Gift cards are only good in the Disney operated shops.

I did suspect that would be the case - guess it means more $$$ for me to spend on me!! Hahaha

I heard the lego is more expensive there so i'd check the price before you go.

We wanted some in Nov so I priced up UK vs DTD, even with our AP discount it was cheaper on Amazon with free del(even cheaper if I had waited a few days)

I wouldn't let Disney know that you've posted about the $500 gift card if I were you ;)

Hahaha it's not one of the 'fabled' $500. I booked a trip and they messed it up, as they booked the wrong dates (confirmed the right dates but emailed confirmation of different ones) and the dates they booked were only part covered by free dining at the time so they offered the card as an apology! Unfortunately the trip wasn't one of the 'special' ones :-)

Thanks for the advice re Lego, looks like its far better for me to buy it online!!

Ah you're safe then ;)

I received no fabled $500 either... ;)

I just went back and "relived" that thread. Can't believe it was as long ago as April!

Ha was quite a night then days after waiting for the fallout!

I even had to book my then unborn child's name as simply an initial (I hedged on the girls initial we had chosen - then four months later a boy popped out :lmao:)
