Disney Gift Cards

I am not sure this is where I should post this question, but I wanted to ask, where can you purchase Disney gift cards once you are in Disney World? Can you get them at the resorts or are they only available at the parks? My daughter is traveling with the band and doesn't want to carry cash. She would prefer to carry a gift card to use for all of her purchases and would like to convert some of her cash into a gift card.

If you live near a Disney Store, you can purchase gift cards there to be used at WDW. I do believe that they are available at the resorts also.

I would suggest that she carry at least a little cash on her because not all carts/locations take the gift card.

Yes, they sell gift cards in the resort gift shops and many of the gift shops in the park as well. You can also go to Disneyshopping.com and purchase a giftcard. They will mail it to you free of charge. Make sure to keep a copy of the gift card number for her...if the card gets lost, you can give the number to disney and they will block the card and issue her a new one.
