Disney Gift Cards

We will be taking our first trip to WDW in Aug. I am wanting to give my kids (DD14, DS12 & DD7) their own money to spend. In addition they will have their own money they are saving (some are better at saving than others). I was thinking of getting a bank card from the bank vs a Disney gift card. I don't think DD14 will want to spend her money in Disney as she was whining about going last night. (At this point I am not even sure I want to take her!) Has anyone ever gotten their kids bank cards before? If so what was your experience like? To be honest, I am only assuming our bank offers such a thing.

If you been one that is linked to her account, my dd13 has one but we keep it in our safe. She is not aloud to use it unless we are with her. We will not let her bring it to Disney mostly because we are afraid she will either lose it or not realise how much money she has spent.

On the other hand, she got a visa gift card for Christmas and was able to use it in the mall. The only problem we had with the card is you need to keep track of how much money is on the card. If you try to use it on something that is more than is on the card it will be declined!
